20.01.2022 The Electrical Safety Office was notified on Thursday 7 April that a man received a fatal electric shock in the roof space of a home in Robina while he was perf...orming electrical work. Initial investigations found that although he had turned the main switch off before entering the roof space, he was electrocuted when he cut into the live mains feed into the house. Please note that we cannot comment on the progress of individual investigations. Each incident is different, so the time taken to complete a thorough investigation will vary depending on the circumstances. In the meantime, we remind all licensed contractors to ensure you have correctly isolated the equipment you are working on, always test before you touch and always test before you cut an electrical cable.
