24.01.2022 The big day had come! Time to drive across the country with a good mate drop him off in Canberra then head up to Sydney to see the Rad Rollas boys We set off about 330 in the morning and swapped drivers about 8, soon after i woke up from the car stalling. I looked up and the temperature had skyrocketed we pulled over and I started to inspect the damage.... After filling the radiator up and starting the car it was evident that the head gasket was completely shot and the compression was pouring into the cooling system. So now 600kms from home we pulled into the local workshop, he was kind enough to let me wait around and help organise a lift for my mate to Canberra (was borderline about to miss his sisters wedding) After almost 12 hours stranded in the middle of no where a good family friend arrived with a trailer and we made the treck home. Not the best start to my week of holidays :/

24.01.2022 Haven't been updating here lately as I've been trying to get the stout finished, still a long way to go but I feel like I'm making good progress Have a flick through the photos!

22.01.2022 After returning home from the trip I decided that the wagon should stay put in the corner until a cheap 7k and efi setup appeared. Literally 4 hours after deciding this a 7k, k50 all the loom, ecu and bolt ons popped up for sale about an hour from my house! I raced over to buy it and was pleasantly surprised by a complete motor and a ton of spares!... We loaded it up and dropped it on the shed floor about 1am Sunday morning.. Here's the haul and a few other bits I had lying around already

18.01.2022 Getting home early hours of the morning after a failure of a trip, I decided I'm going anyway! So I booked flights and managed to score a lift off another good mate to the airport! Landing in Sydney about the same time I would have gotten there if I'd driven. We all met up early and started the drive from Sydney to Dubbo, the convoy was amazing! So many nice cars and models you rarely see.... Once we arrived we set up camp in some $15 tents and had an awesome weekend of motorkhana and drag racing with a car show thrown in! But by far the best part of the weekend was hanging out with mates and talking shit. So much happened that weekend I can't list it all but the crown gasser was by far the stand out car for me, budget build and completely badass

18.01.2022 After a very uphill battle the crown is finally ready for the road, but this is only the beginning of its adventure. With all sorts of modifications set for the future this should be pretty exciting once I get some time to dedicate to this thing!

15.01.2022 After getting the wagon running again. I decided to prep it for a trip to Sydney then to Dubbo for Toyota Nationals. This prep included A service, redoing the rear wheel bearings and tailshaft unis. Then I dropped the gearbox and redid the clutch and clutch cable. ... Whilst making the car reliable I thought I should try and make it more comfortable. So I ordered the tallest tires I could get to help drop the revs down on the highway and make the car a bit quieter, then I finally dealt with the rear leaf springs.. I unflipped the leaf and then flipped a smaller one, making the car higher and a bit softer then I added a lowering block to get it back to the height it was! Much more comfortable and all ready for the big trip!

12.01.2022 With new projects on the horizon I had to think about what to do with the corona, it's intended power transplant was going to be headed for the new vehicle and I couldn't justify having a less comfortable, slower version of the crown So unfortunately it had to go, but it was good while it lasted!

11.01.2022 Another small update, A week or so ago I drove a 1200km round trip with a mate of mine to pick up this spare stout chassis This gives me a matching pair of lower arms, swaybar, another fuel tank to run dual and a diff/motor to sell on! ... It's all slowly coming up Milhouse, just a slow process This is all stripped now and ready to move onto the next job!

09.01.2022 Quickly knocked up a pair of rear bumper mounts for a mates ke70 a few weeks back, this thing has come along way and I'm keen to see where it goes from here Keeping corollas off the track and on the road!

08.01.2022 It's been a damn long time since I updated, I'm still alive and have been flat out with my actual job, but here's what I'm working on lately

08.01.2022 Hi all! it's been a super long time since i posted anything... HOWEVER i have launched a youtube channel! if you would like to follow along that would be great! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPF8fQZl1Zf21NK6fV0rCVQ

08.01.2022 Just before the trip to Sydney I had a mate from Melbourne whip up some stickers and cards for me! I still have a few left if anyone is interested But this is the logo I've had in my head for about 2 years, and with Crawfs help I finally got it perfect!... Aged for your pleasure

05.01.2022 Keep an eye out boya and girls!

05.01.2022 It's been well over a month since I last posted, I've been absolutely flat out with my actual job and doing a heap of car stuff on top! I last posted about the ke70 bumper brackets I did for Coen. Soon after that I ordered a bunch of steel and started cutting! The plan is to make 11 sets of front and rear bumper brackets, 10 for sale after being test fitted locally and 1 set for me to keep as a template. After this I will take in the reviews and criticism and then go from the...re This is going ahead however it is unfortunately one of the lowest things on my radar at the moment :(

05.01.2022 After buying the 7k I never intended to work on it straight away, but after a bit of thought I decided that I should attempt to get it resealed, repainted, modified, fitted and running as soon as possible so that I could utilise the last of the registration. So Sunday night I got it onto the engine stand and stripped it all down. Next up was giving everything a solid scrub to get all the grime off, being a 2001 engine I don't believe it was ever cleaned before now (the firs...t photo is already half cleaned) So after work for the entire week I spent hours cleaning everything and repainting, modifying thermostat housings to take the sensors I needed and cutting and reinforcing crossmembers I got it all done and fitted into the car by the following Saturday night being one week almost to the minute since I bought the motor! Upon fire up I noticed a leak from the overflow in the radiator and thought the motor also had blow by coming out from the rocker cover. I was gutted, after so much work to have such a anticlimax really sucked. I let it sit for a few days until some friends brought around a compression tester and a radiator pressure tester soon after we found a leak from the plate on the back of the head, fixed that and it ran perfectly! So we did the compression test on the cylinders and got 172-168-170-165 Happy days! Test drove it and it was perfectly fine!

04.01.2022 Hi all, it has come time for me to actually part with my sera.. I have a grey 1991 auto sera with the slss, cup holder, fancy sera tint and the centre console a...nd probably a few other options.. Freshly repainted wheels (factory alloys havent been driven on.. with centre caps) Motor was rebuilt 30,000kms ago Suspension replaced about 20,000kms ago The paint is pretty rough but its an overall pretty solid car. Heres the kicker... I also have almost an entire 1990 sera to go with it.. minus the motor/box, shell and bonnet bumper lights.. Essentially... The parts car had a huge front end accident and i managed to find another pair of guards. Im located in ridgehaven south australia and just wondering what the whole kit would be worth / if anyone is interested Car can come with or without spares Photos are old ones.. but can get more if people are interested

02.01.2022 Haven't posted much lately but I'm slowly getting things done and working on something better than a photograph But here's a recent photo of the stout

01.01.2022 It's been ages since I've updated, I've been hard at work on a new project! But here's a crossmember I did for Jakes celica (same celica I did the ke70 crossmember for) This finishes off moving the motor back as far as mounts go and I'm really happy to have helped him out!
