22.01.2022 For all the no Botox no Plastic Surgery women When they asked her to reveal her beauty secrets, Audrey Hepburn wrote this beautiful text that was later read a...t her funeral. To have attractive lips, speak kind words. To have a loving look, look for the good side of people. To look skinny, share your food with the hungry. To have beautiful hair, let a child cross it with his own fingers once a day. To have a beautiful poise, walk knowing you're never alone, because those who love and loved you accompany you. People, even more than objects, need to be fixed, spoiled, awakened, wanted and saved: never give up on anyone. Remember, if you ever need a hand, you'll find them at the end of both your arms. When you become old, you will discover that you have two hands, one to help yourself, the second to help others. The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, in her face or in her way of fixing her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the door open to her heart, the source of her love. The beauty of a woman doesn't lie in her makeup, but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the tenderness that gives love, the passion that it expresses. The beauty of a woman grows over the years

22.01.2022 A Restorative Yoga Class supports people to slow down and come to stillness through carefully chosen positions and props. Allowing the body to feel fully suppo...rted, the body can start to move from the stress response of the sympathetic nervous system, to the parasympathetic nervous system. From flight/fight/freeze, to rest and digest. Through this process other systems of the body are boosted such as the immune system and digestive system. Students also experience improved mood and lower blood pressure and heart rate. If you would like to experience this for yourself, I run a class on Thursday mornings. You can find the details here https://keenonyoga.com.au/timetable/ I hope to see you soon Jen x

20.01.2022 I hope you had a safe and happy Easter. Long weekends can be a busy time, catching up with friends and family, which can be fun but also exhausting, and maybe ...a little more eating and drinking than usual. For some these breaks can be difficult, maybe a sense of being alone, overwhelmed with being social, meeting others expectations at the expense of your own sense of self. If you are looking for some self care after the long weekend Nurture & Nourish Restorative Yoga may be a good start. You will experience an hour of gentle fully supported positions, where you start to slow down coming into stillness, to finish off with either a Yoga Nidra or meditation. Nurture & Nourish is on Thursday mornings 9.30-10.30. The address is 413 Mount Barker Road, Bridgewater. If you would like to know more please feel free to call me 0409 096 845 or more information https://keenonyoga.com.au/ and to book in. Have a great day Jen x See more

14.01.2022 Hi there, I hope you are all keeping well and can get out and enjoy the lovely weather this weekend. In Restorative Yoga on Thursday morning we were doing some ...breath work and had our arms crossed so we could feel the rise and fall of our ribs. After a little while we changed the focus from feeling the rise and fall of our ribs to us giving ourselves a hug. I noticed my body soften when it became a hug. We thanked our bodies for all they do and allowed ourselves to feel gratitude and love for our bodies. I have been wondering what would happen if we hugged ourselves for 5 minutes a day for 5 days! So I am going to put it to the test next week, if anyone else wants to join in I would love to hear how you go - so it is 5 minutes hugging with deep breaths into your belly for 5 days. Have a great weekend Jen x

13.01.2022 Nurture and Nourish - Sacred Heart Pose Sacred Heart pose is a relaxing gentle position that opens the throat, heart and belly and in doing this also opens the associated energy centers -chakras. As your throat relaxes, your throat chakra opens and starts to release any built up energy. This chakra is involved with us speaking up and speaking our truth. Do you ever find yourself swallowing something you would like to say? As your chest releases over the roll, you create spa...ce and expansion of the heart center. As the chakra opens, healing and loving energy begins to flow through your body. This allows your to breathe to deepen and you absorb more life force/prana. The softening of your belly is associated with the opening of your solar plexus - the centre of self, your will and personal power. The quietening of the belly leads to a ‘massage of the digestive system’. What are we digesting? Not only food, but what we watch on TV and the energy of others. This position leads our nervous system to move from the sympathetic nervous system fight and flight to the parasympathetic nervous system of rest and digest. Enjoy this powerful pose and I look forward to see you soon, Jen x

In saying that, it is still encouraged that you consider having your own equipment, as I am sure you are aware of the situation in Australia and the possibility of changes that could occur. So for those that have equipment on loan you may want to look into what you might need and begin ordering, then returns can happen over the coming weeks.... 01.01.2022 Sleep Sound With Yoga Stress and anxiety can be some of the key causes to sleeplessness most of us know this, but what do we do about it?... So many people talk about their struggle to sleep and yet at the same time feel exhausted, they want and need to sleep but when they lie down their minds are so busy and their eyes' just wont close. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. As we become busier and distracted in our outside world with family, work and relationships, our inner world gets stressed as well. We run until our body and mind have been pushed to the limits and we only stop because we get sick, physically and/or mentally. Restore Yoga is the relearning of how to relax, that has been lost somewhere in the hectic pace of life. Restore and Yin Yoga shows us how to slow down, to feel deep supportive stretching, slower movement and restore our nervous system. Taking the nervous system from sympathetic - flight and flee to parasympathetic - rest and digest. Where we can rejuvenate and in turn the various systems in our bodies can reset. Then we can begin to heal mentally and physically. Here are Jenny's tips to help you sleep on and off the mat: 1. A gentle walk late afternoon/early evening 2. Gentle stretches before going to bed with a cup of chamomile tea 3. Breathe - breathe in for a count of 4 and out for 6 (repeat as often as needed) 4. If you wake up during the night and find it hard to get back to sleep maybe try the breathing in for 4 and out for 6 again 5. If you are still awake, getting up for a warm drink may help and maybe doing some light reading, not the thriller you just bought! 6. Journaling is another good resource to use at this time, write down what has got your attention and keep going until it is all on the paper and out of your head 7. If you have a ‘to do’ list swirling around in your head, once again get it down on paper and tell yourself you have now made a list that you can go through in the morning. 8. Sometimes when I can’t sleep I repeat a mantra over and over, and more often than not it will put me into a beautiful deep sleep my mantra of choice at the moment is Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram, meaning - beloved Ram (god or whatever name is right for you), I honour you. If you would like to listen to a Kirtan version, here is one from Krishna Das (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryDkPJFD6oo The mantra starts at about 4 mins in, I put my headphones on and it feels like I am surrounded by this beautiful feeling of love. It touches me deeply and I first learnt this mantra doing an online Meditation and Mantra course through Ram Dass. We hope these tips may help you sleep a little better Restore classes Nurture and Nourish - Thursday 9.30am Restore and Move - Thursday 6pm (moving next week to Wednesday 6pm on March the 31st) Yin Yoga in the Dynamic classes that combine the faster pace of Yang and finish with the slow release of Yin

01.01.2022 Make the most of this great offer I look forward to my treatment with Kama soon x
