23.01.2022 Our local businesses in the NT need YOUR help! It is no secret that the current situation with COVID-19 is having an impact on local businesses and our economy. Many NT business owners are getting creative to change the way they operate in light of new and changing government guidelines around social distancing to continue to serve us, stay afloat and keep their valued employees in a job. ... Keep it Local NT is a platform to help promote these businesses and their new ways of operating to help inform their customers and encourage Territorians to keep supporting people in our community who are at risk of losing their livelihoods. In the current climate, we know not everyone has the means to spend which is understandable. You can still help by liking and sharing this page. Government guidelines around social distancing may change (and we will continue to post updates for businesses who are evolving with these changes to stay functioning), but for now many businesses are still open and need your support. You can also follow the Keep it Local NT Instagram Page here: https://www.instagram.com/keepitlocalnt/ So remember to be vigilant with your hygienewash your hands regularly, avoid touching your face, no hugging/handshaking, keep at a safe distance from each other and keep up date with the ever changing government social distancing guidelines (www.health.gov.au) If you are a local business of any kind who wishes to be promoted on this page, please reach out at [email protected] Stay safe, share the love between stores, make a purchase no matter how big or small if you can and remember, we are all in this together! **This page will also adhere to Government advice regarding the virus, and will pause promotion if it is deemed no longer safe to do so. If in such a case, we will resume as soon as we are given the all clear, which will be a time when local businesses need you more than ever to get back on your feet!

07.01.2022 There are now no active cases of COVID-19 in the Territory. Thank you so much for everything you have done to keep the Territory the safest place in the country.... We have been the absolute best. But the fight is not over yet. The battle against COVID-19 has been incredibly difficult so far. Territorians have sacrificed a lot. Businesses have had to shut down. And our frontline workers continue to put themselves at risk and work around the clock to keep the rest of us safe. Our hard borders are the reason we've been able to get back to business, back to work, and back to enjoying our incredible Territory way of life. The danger of COVID-19 is still out there. There are still new cases occurring across the country. We have some of the most vulnerable remote communities in the world. And Territorians have worked too hard and come too far for me to risk us all going backwards. I will not risk community transmission. And I will not be opening our borders until it is safe to do so. I will keep doing whatever it takes to save Territory lives and to save Territory jobs. Territorians will always come first. #territorytogether
