13.01.2022 The month of Ramadan began last night, with many families of the Muslim faith in our community fasting from dawn to sunset, breaking the fast with the evening meal (Iftar). It is also a period of peace, prayer and charity-giving. Ramadan Mubarak.

09.01.2022 Today is the 200th anniversary of Independence for Greece. It was a privilege to join Greek community members and veterans at the Hellenic Memorial at the Shrine of Remembrance. Menzies has a proud and thriving Greek community and many were here today to pay their respects. .

03.01.2022 Victorian veterans and hospitality owners deserve certainty and support. It was great to get out this week and speak with Ron Twining & his committee at the Templestowe RSL and Anna Gallo at Olivigna restaurant in Warrandyte. It was also lovely to see so many families out at the Park Orchards Summer Market.
02.01.2022 Today is National Day for War Animals. This is a day where we remember the important roles that animals have and continue to play in war. This is Siân. She started life abandoned in a rescue shelter, before going on to graduate as an Explosive Detection Dog. Along with her extremely brave handlers from the Special Operations Engineer Regiment, Siân safely found over 20 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on my platoon’s deployment to Afghanistan in 2009/10. Siân loved hugs and I know she saved many Australian lives.
