16.01.2022 Now’s the time to clean up your yard in preparation for our annual FREE pre-cyclone verge collections commencing October 12. Green waste will be collected (no h...ousehold waste) and turned into mulch to be used by City services. To prepare for this, please note the following: Collections are for green waste only (please, no plastic bags) Tree loppings should be stacked separately to all other material All items should be cut into pieces shorter than 1.5m in length Please keep piles clear from fences, water meters, power poles, vehicles and trailers, letter boxes, Telstra pits, driveways and garden beds Green waste can be placed on verges up to 2 weeks prior to placement dates Household waste can be disposed of for free at the 7 Mile and Wickham Waste Transfer Stations, seven days a week. 05.01.2022 **Important information for the community of Roebourne** The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) will close Roebourne Hospital from 9pm tonight. The facility is e...xpected to return to normal operations from 7am tomorrow Saturday 2 January. A WACHS spokeswoman said staff at the hospital had been impacted by new quarantine requirements. We’re working closely with the Department of Health and other stakeholders to ensure patient care is not compromised. If you experience a medical emergency you should call 000 and an ambulance will come. They are stationed close to the hospital and will work with our clinical team in Karratha to make sure you get the care you need. If you need help, but it isn’t urgent, you can also call Karratha Health Campus on 9144 7777 and ask to speak to the nurse manager. HealthDirect is also available on 24/7 on 1800 022 222.
