24.01.2022 My lovely wife Valerie and myself with Fr. Michael O'Connell (parish priest of St Martin Of Tours Primary School church in Rosanna) after receiving a special mention during mass for our 40th wedding anniversary. My son also attended primary school here also during his younger years.

24.01.2022 The biggest issue I received from residents in the Hawdon Ward Survey is the North East Link project which is going directly under Hawdon Ward and the daily increase in traffic speeding through residential areas of Viewbank, Rosanna and Yallambie. The State MP for Ivanhoe - Anthony Carbines, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary for Health & Parliamentary Secretary for Carers & Volunteers has not even come out and talked to the residents of Hawdon of what is happening which is a big shame on him. Give him the boot at the next State Election.

23.01.2022 These walking and bicycle tracks needs fixing which are located at Banyule Flats Reserve. It must be resurfaced. I assure all residents that I will work towards getting this fixed. Please VOTE 1 ANTHONY FERNANDEZ.

18.01.2022 Taken during my time as President of the Rotary Club of Manningham 2015/2016, which was one of the most memorable years leading a community service club. Proud to be an active Rotary member for the past 23 years and a Vocational Director.

16.01.2022 Trying to stand tall with Dustin Fletcher, one of the finest tall defenders in AFL history playing 400 games for Essendon Football Club. Dustin was a special guest speaker at a breakfast fundraiser for Rotary in Mernda.

11.01.2022 I would love the opportunity to represent the people of Banyule as a member of council and will be running for Hawdon Ward in Banyule City Council in the October 2020 elections. - I have been living in Hawdon Ward in Viewbank with my lovely wife Valerie for the past 41 years, where our son Michael also grew up. - I have over 35 years of experience working as a Financial Adviser/Planner for individuals and Business. - During this time I have been and still involved with variou...s community service organisations, schools and people needs in Banyule and other areas. - I see a need for the residents of Hawdon to have a Councillor who lives in the Hawdon Ward and understand their needs. I received over 280 replies form the Hawdon Ward Survey that I letterboxed recently to every house & business in Hawdon. - I am determined to listen to the concerns of all residents in Hawdon Ward and Banyule so that I can stand up in Council on issues that matter to all of us. - I offer dedication, effectiveness, honesty, knowledge and transparency in my role as your voice in Council. Vote 1 for me Anthony Fernandez via postal vote in October 2020 - safe hands in a time of crisis & recovery.

04.01.2022 The North East Link construction is well underway. These photos are at the traffic lights of Lower Plenty Road & Greensborough Road in Macleod. Residents living in Hawdon Ward, parents and teachers of students in Banyule Primary School, Viewbank Primary School and Viewbank Secondary College which are also in Hawdon Ward must be informed of the disruptions to the daily flow of traffic. This is going to be at least 3 years to complete. Approximately 75 % of the 16,000 trees ar...e being removed in areas reserved for road upgrades. Where are the GREENS ? Well known for their tree hugging behavior and chaining themselves to the trees. Where is the local MP ANTHONY CARBINES (LABOR) who has not got the courage of talking to the residents of Hawdon as the tunnel goes right under their homes and schools. Damage, noise levels and traffic movement & management will have to be closely monitored. See more

04.01.2022 Price Park in Hawdon Ward as it is today. These dead trees need to be removed and some new ones planted. Also there is a need to improve this beautiful place for everyone to use and enjoy. Also there is a need for better car parking around Price Park. I welcome suggestions from residents who use Price Park and those who live around the place.

04.01.2022 As you can see from these photos, all taken this week in Hawdon Ward. The graffiti sprayed on -- not cleaned up. Weeds and grass over grown at various nature strips on Banyule Road. Footpath on Rutherford Road in terrible condition for the past 2 years. Streeton Views Park in Yallambie -- not upgraded and managed to give residents in Yallambie an opportunity to enjoy the place with barbecue & playground facilities for children. Banyule Council needs a shake up to act on these. VOTE 1 FERNANDEZ Anthony.

01.01.2022 Members of the St. Vincent de Paul (St Vinnies) Committee - we assist the needy in our local community covering Macleod, Heidelberg Heights, West Heidelberg, Rosanna, Viewbank and Yallambie. I have been a member and volunteer for the past 13 years. It is a great and fulfilling opportunity to serve the less fortunate in our community.
