A massive thank you to everyone who volunteered there time. Peter Ferry and Jen Ferry, your organisation and coordination of the day was amazing with the help of Lucy Knight from Bunnings. How could we not mention Stephen Dredge who handled the PR with Federal Minister David Elliot, Channel 7 Channel 9 and also a 2GB interview on Friday afternoon. Go Kellyville Baseball Club.

24.01.2022 Hills is inviting applications for Coaching positions with its Little League All Star teams. CHAMPIONSHIP DATES Senior League: 8-11 April, 2021 at BISP... Intermediate & Junior League: 2-5 April- Monday at Aquatic Little League & LL10-11: 15-18th April, 2021 at either Peter Van Hasslett or Samuel Marsden. TRIALS FOR ALL STAR TEAMS Trials for Major LL and Junior LL will commence 31st January, 2021 Trials for all other ages including Minor LL will commence in early February, 2021 APPLICATION FOR COACHING Applications for Coaching positions CLOSE with John Yard on 29th January, 2021. They are to be accompanied by the completed Officials Application form which is available on the Hills web site at: http://www.isport.australis.net.au//A16_Officials_AppForm. All Head Coaches must have a current Level 3 Coaching Accreditation. Assistant Coaches must have Current Level 2 as a minimum qualification. Both need a current Working with Children's check. Preferably LL nominees for LL Coaching positions should be coaching in a Hills' Competition in 2020-21. Ideally we would prefer that Parents are not coaching their Child, but realise that with so many teams this may not be possible. Hills will be entering two teams in LL10-11, Major LL, Junior LL and Senior LL as well as one team in Intermediate LL. Where more than one team is entered in a LL age group the teams will be of equal strength. Coaches will not be the sole Selectors of teams. John Yard

23.01.2022 The 17U Kolts played a make up game against Rouse Hill on Wednesday night. The Kolts won a close game 5-4 with the bottom of the 4th not required. Josiah Blackbourn pitched an amazing game from the start and Matthew Chidiac closed the game with a 3 up 3 down innings striking out the side. Josiah added a double to RF Jaemin Shim and Cameron Stewart both with hits, 8 BB and 1 HBP. 6 LOB. Great win Kolts. Let’s take that form to Northmead on Saturday against Baulkham hills.

20.01.2022 Our G2 South team fought hard today against Carlingford Cubs who delivered some solid pitching and fielding. The first two innings we stole bases and slid to get some runs on the board. Defeated in the end despite great effort, support and lots of fun. (Don’t ask what Adam Saunders is up to ). Well done to everyone who played today and all coaches, managers, scorers and support crew

09.01.2022 HILLS LITTLE LEAGUE Trials for Hills Little League teams will be held at Corbin Reserve, Pye Rd, Quakers Hill on Sunday 31 January, 2021 commencing at 9.00am and will continue until the two teams are selected. HILLS JUNIOR LEAGUE... Trials for Hills Junior LL will also be held at Corbin on 31 January, 2021 commencing at 1pm. HILLS 10-11 MINOR LEAGUE Trials for the two 10-11 teams will be held on Saturday 6 February, 2021 from 1pm at a venue to be determined. SENIOR LEAGUE and INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE Dates of trials and venues for Senior LL (two teams) and Intermediate LL (one team) will be advised next week. Players must pre-register for all trials. Registration is to include players’ name, DOB, Club, and two preferred playing positions. The registration is to be forwarded by email to [email protected] by Thursday 28th January. To be eligible players must not have changed Clubs or Associations since Season 2019/20, unless providing documented change of Residential Address. Those players who have formal acknowledgement of 'Friendship status' are exempt from this Rule. There is a significant change to LL Rules this Season. Players are now longer required to play in a particular Charter to be able to be eligible for selection in a particular LL team. The only requirements now are that players are the eligible age and they have played a minimum of 60% of the games drawn in the current Hills Competition. Players cannot trial for more than one aged team, so if you are age-eligible for two teams, choose wisely. One exception is for players born between September, 2008 and August, 2011, they can trial for Little League and the 10-11 team. Where there are two Hills teams in the same Charter they will be selected so that they are of equal strength. Should players miss a trial the selection process will be that if a player ranked above them is cut, then so too will the player who has missed the trial. It is mandatory that all Parents attending any trial, or any game in Hills sign in on using the Club's QR Code Coaches have not yet been appointed for any of the LL teams Eligible ages are: 10-11 team DOB range: 1 September, 2009 to 30 August, 2011 LL team DOB range: 1 September, 2008 and 30 August, 2011 Intermediate LL DOB range: 1 September, 2007 to 30 August, 2010 Junior LL DOB range: 1 September, 2006 to 30 August, 2009 Senior LL DOB range: 1 September, 2004 to 30 August, 2006

The game was fast, there was loads of player involvement and the basics of baseball can still be maintained and coached ie fielding throwing and batting. Bee Ball would be the perfect introduction for children wanting to play baseball. Thank you Jeff Catt for facilitating the demonstration. You have my full support to have Bee Ball included as an... introduction game to baseball. Thank you to all the players and parents for making this demonstration a success. Scott President KBC.
