24.01.2022 Here is a way to spend some quality time with the kids during lock down or quarantine. Cheap, easy and the kids love it. the chickens seem to love it as well. They even named one of the chickens Jeff. Sadly Jeff is no longer with us due to some complications that do not involve an oven The cubby house was no longer being used but it is definitely being used now, they cant keep the kids away.

23.01.2022 If you live in North Kellyville it means your lawn is relatively new. If you would like it to look a little better then it does right now then a light "dusting" of topsoil may just be the tonic your lawn needs. The photos attached to this post are before watering in and after watering in. If you have any of the following problems with your lawn top dressing will help enormously and it doesn't cost much. ... 1. Still see the joins from when the turf was originally laid 2. Have dips, hollows or depressions in the lawn 3. Dead/almost dead sections in areas from winter shade 4. Thinning grass from lack of soil underlay Top dressing can be done from the 1st September right through until May as long as the lawn is still actively growing. Watering, fertilising, weed spraying and aerating or scarifying are the other very important ingredients to a owning a lawn that looks healthy and green. Give me a call for free no obligation advice on how to help your lawn.

21.01.2022 before and after

20.01.2022 Hi all, spring has sprung, we have already had a few warm days but unfortunately not enough rain, however the little bit of rain and slightly warmer (& longer) days has resulted in prompting the lawn to come out of being dormant, trees, plants and flowers are blooming and if you have a veggie garden you should already have your tomatoes and other spring veggies/herbs in the ground. Water - water - water is what your lawn and garden needs right now. If you need or want any advice dont hesitate to contact me. We provide the normal services, mowing, edging, hedging, fertilising, topdressing, dethatching, but we offer a complete lawn and garden service. Browse the images for some of our work.

19.01.2022 G'day all, Where is the best place to get a tow bar installed in the Kellyville area at a reasonable price?

16.01.2022 Where I live in North Kellyville which is a newly developed suburb the government decided to build biofiltration basins or swales as they are commonly known on one side of every street to filter out pollutants from stormwater runoff - they are a good idea but they are a bit hard to look after because you cant just mow them like you would a normal grass nature strip. However, I have begun to specialise in doing swale makeovers & the fact that there is almost 30km of swales in North Kellyville means there is plenty of demand. Below are some BEFORE & AFTER pictures of some of my recent work.

15.01.2022 I did this small town house backyard last week and it looked fantastic when it was finished - what a transformation! I still need to seal the new pavers to match the colour of the existing pavers.

14.01.2022 I have had so many people recently asking about how they can have a herb or veggie garden in their back yards & there are so many ways it can be done. You really are only limited by your imagination as you can see by some of these images. Everyone of these ideas are very affordable & you really don't need much space. Nothing tastes like home grown produce. If you want to know more just call me i am happy to help if I can.

14.01.2022 My lawn is looking sensational at the moment. Many friends & passers by have asked what type of turf it is & the answer is Kenda Kikuyu, a sterile variety of Kik that is hard wearing and not as fast growing as normal Kik. Kenda is great for active kids and energetic dogs. It is used on a lot of footy fields. Also its greener for longer, meaning you can have a dark green lawn almost all year round, even in winter. (with a little love care & attention) If you have any questions about this type of turf or any other type for that matter please call me.

12.01.2022 It is only 1 month until the warmer weather returns so now is the perfect time to get your veggie garden ready for planting. If you want fresh home grown veggies like mine give me a call. Any size, any shape, any colour, filled with soil, chicken manure added for better produce and all set up ready to grow. Free advice on planting and pest control included. Call or text me on 0418 188 501 me for a free no obligation quote Or email me [email protected]

12.01.2022 Springbrook Boulevard North Kellyville

10.01.2022 Just sharing a few pics of a little job I did this week. Turned out OK I reckon........

08.01.2022 The existing Kikuyu lawn was removed - 15 tonnes of premium quality 80/20 turf underlay spread and leveled - the result is outstanding - looks fantastic

07.01.2022 Obviously we are now a third of the way through winter, a few people have asked me whether laying new turf now is a good idea, this is the answer. The benefit of laying a new lawn in winter is lower water usage. In the cooler months, you will not have to water your new lawn anywhere near as much compared with the hot months. Your new lawn in winter will still need regular watering, but you can virtually halve your water usage by laying turf in winter and still maintain a heal...thy lawn come spring. Just keep in mind, when laying a new lawn in winter the lawn will not root down properly until the weather warms up and it starts growing again. This doesnt mean anything is wrong, and your lawn isnt dying. Almost all western Sydney buffalo lawns go maroon/brown in winter. In winter your buffalo is idle until it gets some warmer temperatures and as soon as the warmer weather returns your lawn will miraculously turn green and start growing all over again. See more

07.01.2022 WAS and NOW pics of backyard make over I did last week. Another very happy customer........

05.01.2022 big difference - the fence is to keep the dogs off the garden & new lawn

05.01.2022 We all wish we didn't have to have rain gardens on our property in North Kellyville but sometimes they can actually add value like this one. Built out of treated pine sleepers but covered with merbau timber & painted with cabots aquadeck with the colour called natural. I think this looks fantastic

03.01.2022 Would you like to you know about "The 5 P's?" This is today's hot tip... Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance! If your unprepared front or back yard has had 8 months of building delivery trucks driving over it or tradies stomping all over it, broken bricks, left over concrete, etc grass will not grow on it. This rock hard platform needs to dug up to a depth of 100mm via any means necessary, a mattock, a crow bar, a rotary hoe from a hire company or a bobcat, whatever ...it takes. You must then use a quality underturf mix, not the cheap recycled underturf mix that all garden supply outlets sell. The thicker the layer you put down the better, somewhere between 70 100mm is ideal. 50mm will suffice if you have loosened the existing ground well enough. Preparation is essential. Every good lawn I have seen has had quite a few tonnes of the rubbish soil on the top, dug up & taken to a dumping site & replaced entirely with good soil. See more

02.01.2022 Does anybody else have their front & back lawn looking this good after the rain

01.01.2022 The back lawn is looking OK not bad for the middle of winter - it always looks great after decent rain.
