24.01.2022 Wouldn't it be great if every room had a view, this was our aim that is taking shape in this seaside creation, imagine sitting up in bed and overlooking your balcony to see straight out to the ocean or having breakfast in your kitchenette breakfast bar. I think it's important to visualize how you will use your new home, and how you will furnish it long before you start building it. A lot of homes designed and built purely around the price tag or without enough forethought can be very uncomfortable to live in.

24.01.2022 Situated in the highest part of Como we designed these homes to take advantage of the views while maximizing the use of the block. While this block could have accommodated 4 units the feasibility we conducted for the owner showed that the excessive outlay and potential return would not substantiate doing so. The owner had already spent too much money with an architect who designed something for this block which im sure would have looked nice but didnt maximize the use of the... block, didnt conform to council requirements and with a cost to build that would have resulted in a very probable loss for our client. Starting from scratch we assessed the benefits of the block and the most cost effective unit layout. We delivered City views and river glimpses from the front unit and city/hills views from the back 2 units, our design minimized the site costs and our quality value for money fit-out delivered an outcome you can see yourself. I love the ambiance created by the way this particular metal artwork filters the light and is perfect to light up the stairwell at night.

18.01.2022 I like to think we can build anything that can be designed but just because it can be done does it mean it should be done? imagine walking around your king size bed in here with only 300mm to spare, im not too sure this would suit many. Is this the future of affordable housing?

For the extra 2 to 3k to get this custom made and fitted to an average house it definitely makes a worthwhile point of difference to your front elevation especially when combined with a wide sweeping eave.

15.01.2022 Engineered stone tops, under mount sinks, glass splash backs a freestanding back to wall bath and Air conditioning, just some of the suggested upgrades from our standard specification which have been incorporated into this newly completed home. Situated on on a rear battleaxe block in Scarborough our client is planning to make good use of these features which should stand the test of time.

Next time you build why mark up some dimensions on your electrical plan at pre-start or meet with your builder onsite when the times right to make sure all your electrical points are in the best spots. The other alternative is to make yourself a bedhead & ensemble incorporating lighting, power, USB, Data & Phone points that simply plug into your wall socket which fittingly is hidden behind your bed.

In the last few years we have been building all of our brick balcony walls in 230mm commons in a type of garden wall bond with a solid header with vertical and horizontal steel reinforcing rods, it does cost a little more than regular block work but is far stronger and creates a good base for core drilling vertical balusters.
