22.01.2022 Have you pocketed one of these hot new coins yet? The Royal Australian Mint’s $2 firefighter coins have been circulating for a couple of weeks and a limited... addition commemorative coin is also available for purchase. $125,000 from the proceeds from the sale of the coins will go to fire and emergency services across the country. 19.01.2022 A Subiaco man could become the first alleged arsonist in WA to be fitted with an ankle bracelet as police crackdown on firebugs.

18.01.2022 Broomehill Central Bush Fire Brigade’s new purpose built facility is now open! The building has been designed to accommodate future growth, with an appliance ba...y to house the brigade’s 4.4 Broadacre, a training room, communications room, kitchen, modern ablutions and an office. A $400,000 ESL grant went towards the construction of the new station, which replaces the existing shed. An additional $70,000 was contributed by the Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup. 14.01.2022 Conditions in WA are very dry, with parts of the south and south west coasts expecting above normal fire conditions through summer. How's our summer looking... in WA? 12.01.2022 There’s a new kid on the Emergency WA block! DFES and the Department of Health (HealthyWA) have partnered to customise the Emergency WA website (www.emergency.w...a.gov.au) to include map-based ‘human pandemic’ warnings if they’re needed. The website is now equipped to show localised outbreaks of COVID-19 and provide targeted information to communities impacted. While we hopefully don’t have to use it, this enhancement is part of the WA Government preparation for potential outbreaks of COVID-19 in WA. To help keep the community safe, remember to: Practise good hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Maintain a physical distance from others where possible. Stay home if you’re sick. If you’re experiencing symptoms, get tested immediately. Stay home and self-isolate if you are waiting for your test results.

06.01.2022 WA fire fighters will rely on an old-fashioned option to keep us safe this bushfire season. #9News | Nightly at 6.00pm

06.01.2022 Slow Down, Move Over No matter which road you’re traveling down in WA, the SLOMO law requires you to slow down to 40 km/h when approaching emergency vehicles who are attending an incident. It’s as much for your safety as it is for ours.

05.01.2022 We remember those who have served and risked their lives to protect Australia, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We pause to honour them all at the 11t...h hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. #WeRememberThem #LestWeForget #fb This update came from the Gnowangerup Police on Twitter
