24.01.2022 Objections to the Margaret Court / Moggill Road / Wyndarra Street development close on Monday! Visit us at Kenmore Village Shopping centre for more information on how to lodge your objection to the proposed 104 duplex townhouses. We will be available to answer questions all day today and tomorrow.
21.01.2022 With more than 750 public objections lodged by close of the public objection period, disapproval for this proposed development was strongly voiced by the public. The development application clearly does not comply with a range of guidelines. What happens now?... Brisbane City Council (BCC) has 20 work days to assess the application with the option of extending this period by another 20 days at their discretion. After this period they will have to consult with the applicant if further time is required. We are confident that common sense will prevail and the application should be declined. Should this happen, the developer has the option to appeal the decision and apply for approval in court. In the unlikely event of the BCC approving the application, we (as parties objecting to the application) reserve the right to challenge the decision in court. For the time being, it is a waiting game and we will keep you updated on further change. Once again thank you all for your support! Kenmore Living Inc

14.01.2022 Great news received from the Brisbane City Council! Yesterday the BCC advised the developer that the proposed development application is not approved in the current format. A range of issues were noted including: 1. Multiple dwelling use (Wyndarra Street);... 2. Earthworks and retaining walls; 3. Road works and traffic; 4. Bicycle network overlay; 5. Retention of vegetation; 6. Side and internal landscaping; 7. Building separation; 8. Low density outcome; and 9. Waterway corridor. BCC advised: "The proposal in its current form is not supported by Council, as the issues raised in the information request have not been adequately addressed. Further, the significant number of submissions reinforces Council’s view that the proposed development has not been designed to be compatible with the locality and site constraints, nor does it retain and protect the environmental value of the site where it contains significant vegetation." The developer was informed that the proposal layout must be substantially redesigned. Kenmore Living Inc will keep you informed on further updates as events unfold.
