08.01.2022 Three stretches to start and end your day! . These stretches mobilise the joints and muscles in your back after a sleep or a prolonged period of sitting. As... always your next posture is your best posture! . 1. Sphinx/Cobra - lifting yourself onto either your forearms or hands as far as comfortable, exhale at the top, and slowly lower back down and repeat 15-20 times. . 2. Childs Pose - kneeling down onto all fours, reach your arms as far forward as you can and lower your bottom towards your heels, coming back up onto all fours then repeat, each time trying to push your bottom backwards and arms forward, repeat 10-15times. . 3. Cat Cow stretch - on all fours, peel the spine up towards the sky as far as possible whilst tucking the bottom and chin round as far as comfortable, then reverse the movement and sink the lower back to the ground and looking up towards the sky, repeat the movement back and forth 15-20times. . These movement may start off feeling stiff and achey but should ease as you keep moving through the movements. Remember to keep breathing through these movements and dont hold your breath.
