03.01.2022 Today is an ANZAC Day like no other. At dawn we paused to remember those who have served in the Australian Defence Force, both at home and abroad. Pictured is... this morning’s compliance check briefing in north west Tasmania - ADF members standing alongside their colleagues from Tasmania Police, Tasmania Fire Service, and Tasmania SES. These members continue to ensure the safety of North West Tasmanians, both by making sure people are complying with quarantine requirements and checking on people’s welfare in these unprecedented times. The NW Multi-Agency Task Force has conducted more than 5000 of these checks in the last month working seven days a week. Today our ADF members would usually be reflecting on the past in the presence of their mates, said Task Force Coordinator Senior Sergeant Adam Spencer. Instead, they are in the field looking after the safety of Tasmanians. If you are in quarantine and get a call from them today please remember they are there to check on you and your welfare. Some of these diggers have only recently returned from other duties. Make sure you thank them for their service. Lest we forget.
