23.01.2022 Work experience student, Aidan, has spent this week with us getting a taste of the architectural and construction world. He has spent his time in the office designing his dream home and using ArchiCAD to model it in 3D. Today he visited his first construction site to see the progress of the Bunbury Senior High School New Cafeteria Building. We hope you enjoyed your time with us Aiden.

22.01.2022 We are proud to be helping the City of Bunbury with their mission to make Bunbury the Most Accessible Regional City in Australia. We have recently helped modify the entrance path at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery to be compliant with the Design for Access and Mobility Australian Standard. The path is now less steep making access in to the building much easier for all.

21.01.2022 Next time you are in Collie, why not check out the Collie Art Gallery. Designed by Kent Lyon Architect in 2013 and built by local Collie firm White Building Company, it was the culmination of 40+ years of lobbying, planning and fundraising. The use of rammed earth, timber and metal cladding celebrate the vernacular of rural Australia. https://www.collieartgallery.org.au/about-us/

21.01.2022 We've redesigned our website to show off our portfolio of educational, residential and cultural architecture. We've also included a new section to help out those thinking about building. Come take a look! www.kentlyon.com.au #bunbury #architect #architecture #southwesternaustralia #bunburybuilder #busselton #bunburybusiness

20.01.2022 The finishing touches are being put up - perforated aluminium decorative screens! This was a collaborative effort between Kent Lyon Architect, the Stirling Street Arts Centre and Metrix Group. Stirling Street Arts Centre graphic designer, Bee, designed the imagery using handprints from various members of the Arts Centre along with a tree illustration which will wrap around the south west corner. The tree image pays homage to the original established trees planted on the grounds in the early 1900s by students who are still in the Bunbury community.

20.01.2022 Were looking for an architect to join us in Bunbury for an immediate start!

18.01.2022 Now you see it, now you don't. Demolition works are underway in the Bunbury Senior High School courtyard with the old canteen building having been knocked down in anticipation of the new canteen and cafeteria currently under construction. The courtyard area will be landscaped to provide a fresh new space for students.

A couple of years on and the school has come back to us with a request for covered walkways. We are excited to be able to use Danpalon sheets again to inject more colour into the school.

01.01.2022 Together with the City of Busselton and CLPM Heritage Restoration we have been bringing life back to The Old Butter Factory in Busselton. Subject to a fire in March 2018, the building requires restoration works to be completed before the museum can open to the public again. With the building being on the State Register of Heritage Places, the works need to preserve the Heritage of the Butter Factory whilst complying with current building regulations. Recently, intumescent paint has been applied to all steel work and specialty plasterboard will be installed shortly to provide the required fire rating.

01.01.2022 Progress shots form yesterday's site meeting for the remedial works underway. We are targeting accessibility throughout the campus, updating staff and student amenities and creating an entrance statement to the campus.

01.01.2022 Structural steel is being erected at Bunbury Senior High School today. Check out the chunky steelwork - 460mm steel beams and 400x400mm steel columns with the tallest column a whopping 8.7m tall!
