15.01.2022 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: Hi everyone, Just an update on Football this year. It looks like the season will go ahead starting the first week of July. At this stage, we will be playing 10 games however, we have been advised that we can’t train as a club until after the Queen’s Birthday weekend with strict guideliNes. If we can get people to pay their $25 to the NFNL through the registration so we can organise teams, that would be great so we can get the season off to a good... start. I will have more updates as from next week. As I here more from the league, I will forward them on to you. We need to get the registrations into the NFNL so they can workout the fixtures and we can work out what teams we have and help our coaches and team manages to do what they need to do instead of rushing around at the last minute. There will be a lot of guidelines that we need to abide by and there will be no excuses. We all need to do it right so we can keep playing the game we love. See you all soon and go stars! See more

06.01.2022 WELCOME BACK TRAINING RETURNS Wednesday & Friday nights training. U12s will start at 4:30pm ... U9s and older kids starting training at 5pm. As we travel through this unprecedented time we all need to understand that this will be a new normal for us. Please make sure you follow all the COVID protocols put in place by the NFNL - We will have an attendance register that must be signed by everyone! - hand sanitiser at training so please utlise these. - The club is to strictly adhere to having 2 groups of 20 participants on an oval. - There is to be no physical contact between players- coaches have spent the last few weeks working through and planning drills that will enable us to still train without contact. - All footballs will be cleaned and wiped down prior to and following training. - There will not be any access to change-rooms , however toilets will be opened. - Parents must remain outside the boundary line and observe social distancing. So no parents need to be on the ground unless they are part of the coaching group - People who present to training with symptoms will be sent home immediately. - players are to arrive at training no earlier than 10 minutes before training and once training has been completed, they must not hang around. Finally, we know this is a load of information, but it is important that we do follow these protocols that AFL Victoria have set. If we all do this right, then it won’t be too long before games start! It will be great to see people back at training and it will be even better for the kids to get back out on the park! As has been the case with current situations, things are evolving on a weekly basis so we expect to receive more information each week from the league, council and AFL Victoria.

04.01.2022 As you would all be aware, the state government today made further restrictions placing Metropolitan Melbourne into stage 3 lockdown as of midnight tomorrow night. Please be advised as of today, all Keon Park Stars JFC Training and activities have been indefinitely suspended. We understand the disappointment of our Keon Park community especially the kids following what has been a difficult 2020 but the health and safety of the community is our number one priority. ... The NFNL also contacted clubs late this afternoons announcing that they have also delayed the start of the junior season. Whilst they do hope to still get a start following the release of these restrictions, there still is a chance we may not get a season away. Like always, when we receive this information from the league, you will be informed. Due to the increased risks and restrictions, we have also made the unfortunate decision to cancel the Keon Park Stars JFC Auskick program for 2020. We look forward to sharing information for the 2021 Auskick program when this comes to hand. Stay safe everyone and thank you for your continued support and understanding. Thanks Terry Brooks President
