25.01.2022 Here is my beautiful GRACE playing ‘DEATH BY PASTA’ to honour the memory of SONNY CHUA who was an amazing Australian Composer, who’s music has inspired and motivated so many of my students. SONNY passed away last week of a massive stroke at only 52. RIP SONNY

22.01.2022 STUDENT OF THE WEEK goes to ISUMI. Isumi has had a real turn around this term and is loving her new pieces and playing the piano so much more. When you hop on the piano more, it’s like ‘Magic’ everything improves, even your scales Congratulations Isumi.

21.01.2022 Rory having a play through before his exam.

20.01.2022 I have introduced a NEW AWARD this year and it’s called the NOTE RUSH CHAMPION. Every term I will award one student who has been consistently practicing NOTE RUSH and getting better each and every week. No one can come close to this little speedy girl. KESIYA has so far received the fastest times on levels 1 through to 3. Who’s going to be the Term 2 Champion? Congratulations KESIYA.

19.01.2022 Getting in the spirit of the piece is what JAIDEN does so well, here is doing a wonderful job of playing ‘STAR WARS’.

18.01.2022 TIM pushes himself each and every week by moving ahead and teaching himself new pieces as well as learn the new pieces I teach him every week. He had a goal of 100 PIECES and yesterday he reached his goal. So proud of your efforts Tim.

18.01.2022 Well that’s a wrap, exams over for another year.

17.01.2022 Mock Exam Practice today with these amazing kids. Today’s practice was so much better than last week.

14.01.2022 Welcome Back everyone. Don’t forget to keep up the hand washing before lessons and if your child isn’t well, please don’t send them to the Studio. If they’re well enough we can do an online lesson instead.

10.01.2022 Happy Easter Piano Family

10.01.2022 Congratulations EASON for finally receiving your award for winning the Whitsunday Anglican Junior school Staff Award in the Virtual Eisteddfod. Little sister Angel loved her gift of a pair of musical socks that has been sitting in the awards bag all year.

09.01.2022 My students are really enjoying this term learning lots of new and exciting pieces. Some have chosen pop songs, some Christmas pieces and some have preferred to learn new classical pieces. As long as they’re reading lots of new music each week I don’t really care as long as they’re having FUN!! This week CYRUS reached his next goal of 60 PIECES, well done Cyrus. STUDENT OF THE WEEK was fairly easy for me to choose last week. SARAH started her lesson as usual with beautiful scales then she commenced to show me all the new pieces she had learnt and she played them all beautifully. So happy to give this award to Sarah as she totally deserved it.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to ASHER for learning 60 PIECES so far in 2020. Well done ASHER

07.01.2022 Such sad news to hear of Sonny Chua passing away, such a loss.

07.01.2022 Little 5 yr old BIANCA just loves playing duets with me, this is her new favourite piece called ‘Cinderella Waltz’. Great note reading Bianca

06.01.2022 Reading new music each week and playing with expression and dynamics as well as playing along with the backing tracks in my opinion is so very important. To be able to sit at the piano and just ‘play’ is what every student should strive for. Last week hitting their next goal was PAIGE 40 Pieces, ASHER 70 PIECES and the amazing TIM who is at the moment our leader has just hit 110 PIECES. Bravo to you all.

06.01.2022 Well done to HAYLEE and RACHAEL for reaching 60 PIECES this week and a big Congratulations to DYLAN for reaching an incredible 80 PIECES!!

05.01.2022 HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the very supportive Dads I have in our Piano Family. I came across this video today and I thought how appropriate it was for Fathers Day. To see how much love the little girl had for music because of being exposed to it from such a young age was truly inspiring. What an amazing Dad. https://youtu.be/gwduHKyjdEE

05.01.2022 Our Studio had lots of happy faces last week as the students reached their next goal. CONGRATULATIONS to MATTHEW for reaching 40 Pieces, SEBASTIAN 50 Pieces, ELIZABETH 70 Pieces and KESIYA 90 Pieces. Great job kids, don’t stop now keep learning new pieces.

05.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone. Music has no age. https://www.facebook.com/DeepTechMinimal/videos/2704686276438425/?vh=e&extid=Fvu8TkDIUQ9OQKKc

04.01.2022 Singing and playing at the same time can be quite challenging but ABBEY thought she’d give it a go and she did an amazing job of the ‘FIGHT SONG’. She’s already working on the next song she’s wants to learn.

03.01.2022 What an amazing day we had today, the best part was seeing every student walk out of their exam with a HUGE smile on their faces.

02.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to EASON WANG for receiving my STUDENT OF THE WEEK AWARD for last week. EASON has been working extremely hard on his scales and can now play them fluently 2 octaves. He has also been learning new pieces at a very fast rate as well as moving ahead and learning new pieces by himself. WELL DONE EASON!!

02.01.2022 My little champions just don’t stop smashing their goals. Last week we had BIANCA reaching 50 PIECES, ELIZABETH also reached 50 PIECES and then EASON hit the 60 PIECE mark. So proud of you all.
