23.01.2022 Our daily egg collection is slowly rising as the hens finish growing their winter feathers. Like this one in the basket and her inquisitive friend. Collected 48 eggs yesterday and 52 today so wont be long until we're back to full capacity of 100 or so.

20.01.2022 Why does everyone keep saying quail eggs are tiny?? #brandtasmania #ketteringquail #tasmania

20.01.2022 Was flicking through the June 2019 qantas.com/travelinsider magazine before take off in Coffs Harbour and found this beautiful photo of our quail egg! #franklin #knowyourproducer #quaileggstasmania #brandtasmania

18.01.2022 Its been very quiet the last few months, giving the quail time to chill out and grow some fresh feathers. The hay bale is a hit with lots of walking tracks and hidy holes to lay eggs in. #quaileggstasmania #buyquaileggs #weeatlocal #buysomethingtasmanian

16.01.2022 Hottest December day on record, think the girls enjoyed their ice bath!

04.01.2022 Our hens are happily laying again despite the freezing cold. Collected this monster last night. Weighed in at 22gms compared to the usual 14gms, its the biggest quail egg I've ever seen. Gotta feel for the little hen! #knowyourproducer #brandtasmania

04.01.2022 A mealworm farm is the coolest thing, we look inside and the surface is moving. The whole lifecycle is happening before our very eyes. The mealworms (larva) are turning into pupa which hatch into darkling beetles which lay hundreds of eggs which then turn into more mealworms. We'll then harvest some for the quail and the cycle starts again. In case you're wondering they're eating half a swede and the purple top of a turnip. The toothpicks are so we can lift the food up to check out whats happening underneath.

03.01.2022 So chuffed to have won a Gold Medal at the Hobart Fine Food Awards 2019 - AND taking out the CHAMPION (Other Products) AWARD! Thank you to all involved in the awards and thank you to our wonderful customers who inspire us to produce very special eggs.

03.01.2022 Here's a fun fact about quail: their favourite colour is red. Must be why they like their new drinking cups so much. #DINE-A-CHOOK #Quailtimesaver #Quaildrinkingcups #KetteringQuailEggs
