25.01.2022 We decided to boost our flock with some pure bred one day old chicks from Heritage Hatching & Hens. Here they are in their cosy brooder box - food, water and warmth. What more could a little chick want?

24.01.2022 Had 2 more juvenile Eastern Brown Snakes out front with Sable looking on. Cathy was screaming at the cat and finally managed to coax her inside with treats. Phew!

22.01.2022 Veggie seedlings destined for the garden. Broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, bok Choy, chives, onions etc. etc. etc. Just waiting for it to cool down.

21.01.2022 Unbelievable hail storm last night with lots of shredded plants. Ice is still here this morning and no power.

21.01.2022 Happy sellers and happy buyers. Let the renovations begin!

18.01.2022 A piece of Rosewood history now on the market. The Presbytery of St Brigids Catholic Church was built in 1916 for Father Kelleher and later became a convent in 1922 for the Sisters of Mercy. The building was relocated and sold in 2015 and underwent substantial renovation.

09.01.2022 A dead and very unwelcome trophy left by our cat Sable - a juvenile Eastern Brown. Not sure how she managed without getting a bite. Lucky cats have 9 lives!

08.01.2022 The trained winemaker and wino in me loves these beauties!

07.01.2022 I admire the simplicity and minimalist nature of this design; however, I'm a bower bird and I have too much stuff!

06.01.2022 36 Tivoli Hill Road, Tivoli 3 Bedroom 1 Bathroom 2 Driveways one with Carport Large 1450 sqm lot... Subdivision is a possibility or put in a granny flat to seriously increase the return on your investment (STCA). For tradies or Boaties - Dual access to the back yard - imagine not reversing your trailer into the street In the morning. Instead, after pouring a little more concrete, drive into the back yard, a gentle turn around the back of the house and drive out via the other driveway in the morning in forward gear. How good would that be? No smashed trailers or fencing. The rear patio area with extensive views has a polished concrete floor and an on-trend rusty galvanised iron privacy screen and a shade-sail. A very large tropical tree shades the patio. There are also three large gums way up the back of the 1452 m2 block along with She-oaks, a Flame Tree and a Norfolk Pine. There is plenty of room to build the shed of your dream, or a shed and a granny flat. Tradie or Boatie heaven, or Tree-Hugger Paradise, your choice. All of the rooms with the exception of the third bedroom are extremely generous in size. The master would easily fit a king size bed and has been exquisitely styled. The second bedroom is almost as big and all three have pure Berber wool carpeting with top quality plush underlay. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge has new timber flooring and industrial style lighting. The kitchen has been fitted with a breakfast bar island made out of a silky oak sideboard and a new dishwasher is in place. Just wait until you see the stunning bathroom area with its separate toilet. The gorgeous center mounted tub with matt black tapware and custom shower rod and a bespoke vanity made from an antique dresser are sure to impress. New wall tile that looks like timber from a shipping crate really sets off the pure white bath. This home has been painted inside and out with top quality Dulux paint. The stumps have been inspected and levelled and have many more decades of life in them. The height appears ideal for one to put a covered deck out the back off the kitchen and still have good height for using the space for storage underneath. A great deal of the plumbing, drains and electrical has been updated. Three reverse cycle air-cons and four ceiling fans make the home extremely comfortable in all seasons. ALL OF THIS IS ONLY A 3 MIN DRIVE OR A 20 MIN WALK FROM IPSWICH CENTRAL. HURRY, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS TREASURE,

05.01.2022 Had this chopping block made of Sydney Blue Gum by Choppa Block in South Australia. She's a beauty - almost a shame to use her.

04.01.2022 After yesterdays 40 degrees, at least the cactus is happy. The veggie garden is definitely not!

04.01.2022 Deep sleep without a care in the world.

04.01.2022 Intiriguing concepts for larger properties.

04.01.2022 some predictions for 2019. A bit early?

03.01.2022 Sable has discovered the egg basket complete with comfy wood shavings. Oh to be a cat.

01.01.2022 History Looms Large - LARGE in three respects: 1/ an important part of the history of the region (Rosewood in particular). 2/ a massive renovation project to restore the home authentically. 3/ an extremely large family home (315 m2). The home was built for the newly appointed Reverend Father Kelleher of St. Brigid's Catholic Church in 1915-16 and was converted to a convent for the Sisters of Mercy in 1922. The building was relocated to its present site after the Sisters left Rosewood in 2011 and then sold in 2015.
