18.01.2022 If you’re over the age of 12 and live in metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire, you must wear a face covering whenever you leave the house. Wearing a mask helps protect you, your family and every other Victorian. If you live outside the restricted areas, wearing a face... covering is recommended when you’re out and can’t keep 1.5m from others. For more information and instructions on how to make your own mask, visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au/language See more

12.01.2022 While searching for cheap, accessible and easy activities we’ve come across a range of ideas including recipes for messy play for babies. Edible finger paint was a bit hit for Chloe (10 months), although after a while more ‘paint’ seemed to be being eaten instead of ending up on the paper! We'd love to see what everyone else has been trying out, even those activities that may not have worked as well as you hoped. ... Share a photo in the comments of your little one trying out a DIY activity at home. You’ll go into the draw to win two months extra membership, once Kew Toy Library re-opens. Competition closes on 15 June 2020.

11.01.2022 Reminder: We will be closed on Tuesday, January 26. See you all on Wednesday!

09.01.2022 From the team at KTL to all of our wonderful families...

08.01.2022 It's tempting to look at the numbers every day and think that what we've all been doing hasn't worked. But the reality is that without restrictions in place las...t month and without the vast majority of Victorians sticking to them the situation would have been catastrophic. New modelling published in the Medical Journal of Australia this week predicts the true extent of that picture. It shows that instead of hundreds of daily cases, we would have seen thousands. Up to 37,000 additional cases over the course of the month. And that would have meant more people in hospital. More people losing their lives. We avoided a catastrophe but we need to do more to drive transmission down further. That's why we've introduced Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne and reintroduced Stage 3 for regional Victoria. And we're again asking you to play your part. I know it's not easy. But the sooner we get on top of this, the better. Stay home. Stay safe and stop the spread. We can do this. Together.

07.01.2022 Stuck for gift ideas? Why not give the gift of play - a Kew Toy Library gift voucher - a present that truly lasts all year! Go green, shop local this festive season! This Wednesday, 23rd December, is your last chance to purchase. Chat to Ayse for more info.

06.01.2022 Today is the United Nation’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Held on November 25 marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence an international campaign that aims to create awareness of the fact that violence against women is a human rights issue. Since 2009, on every November 25 people walk against family violence. Maybe you've seen it in previous years, maybe you've been one of them. Although we can’t walk t...ogether around Melbourne’s CBD like in previous years, we can still walk or wheelchair around the block, go for a walk with a friend, or find a group and participate in a planned local event in your area - you choose. Wear something orange a facemask, hat or t-shirt and join others, show your support for victim-survivors and help send a message across Victoria that family and domestic violence is never okay. #WAFV2020 campaign image: Safe Steps

06.01.2022 Who has let go of things they used to consider important, since having children or just since the 'rona arrived? This one still gets me sometimes, but I'd like to think I've grown

06.01.2022 Following the most recent announcement from the Premier and in line with current health advice, the Kew Toy Library will be closing its doors for the duration of the Stage 4 restrictions. **PLEASE NOTE** Our Click and Collect bookings for today will proceed as planned. This was not a decision we took lightly, and it was not an easy decision.... However in light of the current need for reduced community contact, and the intended outcomes of Melbourne's stage 4 restrictions, we felt the best thing to do was to support the measures put in place by our government and health authorities and slow the spread of COVID-19. If you have questions, thoughts or suggestions please do get in touch by email on [email protected]
