25.01.2022 This article is incorrect! Under Queensland legislation Employers have a duty of care to ensure tightly fitted face masks are fit tested to the individual. I will be honest, I do owner a respiratory mask fit testing service. But it is a tiny part of our overall business. ... I also developed a Viral Hygiene cleaning course, again our Registered Training Organisation RTO 31911) is not a major part of our business revenue. But I have developed these two areas of Keys Human Resources because I believe in the safety of workers. Anyone who knows me will agree to this fact. Throughout this pandemic I have been telling anyone who will listen that masks are only a last resort in the safety matrix and will only protect if they actually fit! Now WH&S Government agencies have been hitting the building industry hard the last year and a half over silica. Let's hope they now focus on the cleaning industry and any other business that requires their staff to wear a mask for this Pandemic.
