24.01.2022 Wonderful news guys

24.01.2022 It is cold tonight with reports of snow falling about 10 / 15 minutes up the road at Murray 1. Stay warm and safe if you are out tonight.

24.01.2022 Perfect spot for morning or afternoon tea. You can buy cream and jam from our shop - you just need to bring the scones.

23.01.2022 We would like to thank all who were able to join us for the River opening/ labour day long weekend. Everyone behaved wonderfully making it a great time. It was fantastic to have our Annuals here, people in our cabins and a large number of campers and caravan lovers here as well.

22.01.2022 RMS (NSW Roads) have advised that Alpine Way will be closed between Thredbo and Tom Groggin (near the Victorian border) from 6am Thursday 3rd October until 6pm ...Friday 4th October for emergency repairs. For updates please visit Live Traffic NSW http://m.livetraffic.rta.nsw.gov.au/Incident.aspx?id=38617 RMS are advising drivers to delay their journey and avoid the area. The alternative route via Jindabyne, Adaminaby and Elliott Way, would add around 200km (and approx 2.5 - 3 hours travel time) for those travelling between Khancoban and Thredbo.

21.01.2022 Hooked on Life riders had a good nights sleep before starting their 297km ride. This is a fun bunch of people. If you see them on the road, give them your support.

21.01.2022 Hello All, we are closed at the moment due to evacuation of Khancoban. We hope everyone is safe and well. Will let you know when we are back up and running.

21.01.2022 It's that time of year again! It's Christmas Carols on the lawn at the Khancoban Alpine Inn. This year we've got pipers again, we've got Terry and the Foxxies (...minus Terry) and the Khancoban Public School kids will be singing for us! To top the night off we're showing an outdoor movie and to continue with the Christmas theme the movie will be Polar Express. The evening is free all you need is your rug or chair and ready to have a good time. As this is a community event, if you'd like to pack a picnic or some snacks and soft drink feel free. The only thing I won't permit is BYO alcohol. We will have a sausage sizzle and popcorn if you're after something easy. Our bistro will also be open if you'd prefer something a little more hearty. Come on down and catch up with friends, support the kids but more importantly, relax and have fun! The evening kicks off from 6pm on Sat 12th Dec. COVID Restrictions are in place so please follow and adhere to signage and staff direction. See more

13.01.2022 I'm sure I'll get condemned for a Christmas post this far out, but I figured I may as well get in early... By all accounts, it appears the current border restri...ctions will be in place up to and beyond Christmas. To try and alleviate the pain of being unable to visit family in other states and join them for Christmas, the hotel will be hosting an "orphans" Christmas. I'm not sure how it'll be done yet or what the cost will be but I just want anyone who will be displaced or unable to be with family to know you will be part of the Alpine Inn family... See more
