In an effort to prevent illegal dumping and help the community through recycling, we set up a battery disposal point in August 2018. The community and local businesses have taken this initiative on board and together we have been able to raise $2170 for the Onslow P & C Association.... The battery disposal point is easily accessible at the workshop.

Yesterday Kev, Dan & Dale spent the day stacking and sorting the batteries when the scrappy came through at short notice. Due to the massive support of the the local businesses and community members we have today handed over another $2000 to the Onslow P & C Association.... That's $7715 raised from scrape to help support our community so well done everyone!

13.01.2022 Low emissivity coated glass is also called Low-E glass. Low-E glass is to coat low emissivity silver and metal oxide layers on the glass surface. The coatings on the glass will show different colors. Its major properties is to lower the U-value and selectively lower the shading coefficient which on the whole improves the glass energy efficiency. It features high infrared reflection. Because of its low surface emissivity, it absorbs and re-radiates very little energy.

Thanks to all the community donations and also a big thanks to the local businesses including Onslow Salt, NTC Contracting and Horizon Power who have donated bulk batteries this month. Since 2018 the battery disposal point has raised $5715 for the Onslow P & C Association. The batteries in the photo below should be collected just before Christmas which will be a nice little Christmas Bonus to add to that total. We welcome batteries from individuals and businesses and 100% of the profit is donated to the Onslow P & C Association..
