19.01.2022 - MEET GURU - GURU is one of our special family horses here at Kiah Park. He’s that horse that ‘Dad’ can do a deadly cut out on at a campdraft and your toddler can poke about on. He’s pretty handy, very quiet and a valuable horse to us in more ways than one. He’s not officially in the camp program but some Kiah Staff have enjoyed a ride on Guru.... This beautiful boy is a survivor of the 2019 NW QLD flood (this first picture was taken at Julia Creek the day he was walked out of flood waters and bog). Many special horses were lost at that devastating time, so we feel very fortunate to still have Guru... and just look how shiny he looked today (too busy eating to smile for the camera) #kiahpark #specialhorses #2019flood

18.01.2022 AWARDING HORSEMANSHIP Today we had our gymkhana which the kids love dressing up for and dressing their horses up for as well as having fun in all the events. We threw the stop watches out and awarded the children in each event, not based on their speed but purely on their horsemanship! ... We also acknowledge and award children who put effort into their and their horse’s presentation. Great job to the kids and horses!! #kiahpark #horseriding #horsemanship

13.01.2022 WHAT A WEEK It’s been perfect weather with a great bunch of kids at Kiah! The kids are set for their long ride this morning followed by a campfire lunch and fun by the dam. ... If you haven’t heard from your kids... we’ve had a few parents mention this... it’s a good sign they are busy having fun! You are welcome to call them at 6:30pm (dinner time) or you can send an email and we can ask them to call you. 01.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS! We would love to congratulate Louisa, Leticia, Genevieve and Ella for graduating from high school! It was an absolute pleasure having these girls here for schoolies. We enjoyed trail rides, swimming horses, mustering, buggy rides, camp fire dinners, plus going to Rainbow beach, Eumundi markets, Cooloola Berries all tied in with plenty of freedom and much needed relaxation.... It was a wonderful boutique schoolies and we wish these lovely ladies all the best for their very bright futures. 01.01.2022 MEET THE KIAH COOK Dani is an extremely valued member of the KIAH team... not only is she wonderful in the kitchen she is a ball of fun... when the apron comes of the slip ‘n’ slide champion is unleashed . The good old slip ‘n’ slide has been a hit for the kids (and kids at heart) to cool down in the warmer part of the days.
