20.01.2022 The biggest & best news for a long long time On behalf of everyone at Kicking for Cancer Im so proud to announce tonight the first ever football game between City V Country featuring players who have had cancer & recovered, players representing family lost and a host of Ex AFL Superstars will be played on Sunday July 7th @ Trevor Barker Oval Sandringham... Trevor Barker a former StKilda Captain & Superstar was my hero growing up. I was lucky enough to play with my hero. Barks was a victim of Cancer at 39yo The day will be the first every footy day for families to attend & commemorate those lost We have some big announcements to come in the coming weeks....make that HUGE announcements I hope you can all get there. 12.01.2022 Update on Kicking for Cancer 1. It's our anniversary (July 2019) of the first legendary Kicking for Cancer Game played at Trevor Barker Oval Sandringham 2. Unlike most Charities we have survived the chaos of the last 4 months with most Charities unfortunately having to close 3. I doubt too many charities would survive when the night before your event the Prime Minister announces people should not attend sporting events. But people did in Shepparton and for that we wi...ll be forever grateful 4. Whats the future ? At this stage we are opened minded about things but nothing will change the fact that Sport and our vast Networks will be used to benefit Kids in need and their families 5. We do have a big Golf Day in the planning but are subject to how the Convid-19 pandemic rolls out. Meanwhile if you know of any family who has a child with cancer and you think we can help by granting them a wish please contact us anytime. We will do whatever it takes .......WHATEVER

09.01.2022 In life you meet lots of people some good some bad some that you remain true friends with for life because they inspire you they stand by you they have a crack ...and never look back 4 years a go i met Mitchell Bennett he was in and out of hospital with cancer but i knew 1 minute after we met that this guy was special. Why because he had that look of determination to take on the world and over the last 4 years he's had lots of setbacks that most people would not have got through. But he fights and fights and fights. Last year he played in the Kicking for Cancer game and starred. This year he had to unfortunately pull out bc he was back in hospital I luv#MitchyBoy its his birthday today and no one deserves a special shout out then Mitchy. I hope you are being spoilt rotten mate. Happy Birthday Superstar

09.01.2022 Sometimes when life is shit you need something just something 2 years a go I met the most amazing talented kid who had cancer - I swore we would beat the basta...rd - I love you #MitchyBoy more than any protester - bc life is about happiness and Im not stopping until my mate Mitchy beats the beast Here is the most amazing text Ive ever had Mitch UpdateThis is the best ever newsAfter a call just now I can confirm I am in full remission from the leukaemia as it stands with not a huge relapse risk. I have been awaiting for a suitable stem cell donor to pop up for a transplant that I needed as apart of my treatment. My results are that good that they do not expect the transplant to go ahead anymore at this stage.

08.01.2022 Jaxon Hach has been to hell & back diagnosed with cancer at 18months. Then at Xmas it returned aggressively & he needed a wheelchair, couldnt eat and barely c...ould speak. But he is a brave superstar & got on new medication VITRAKVI. He was page 3 of the Herald Sun last week. Nothing was going to stop Kicking for Cancer helping this brave kid. I rang his mum & told her wed luv to put a smile on his face who does he follow ? She said Nintendo haha so I went to Harvey Norman bought him Nintendo Pokémon Sword drove to Lyndhurst & met his amazing mum Lyn & gave him a bright yellow ball with a smile on it so its the first thing he sees when he wakes up every morning & a beanie & his Pokémon. What brave boy you are Jaxon go get em Son

03.01.2022 Little Charlotte whos a super duper kid whos fighting the fight with cancer got the surprise of life yesterday when i presented her with a signed Doggies Jumper & a video from Doggies Legend Dougie Hawkins - thanks so much to the Western Bulldogs what a club youve evolved in to the last 5 years - we luvs ya Charlotte youre a jet !!!!

02.01.2022 When you down and out you look for any inspiration to get you back on track. Yes Dusty can bring that joy but so too can 10yo Charlotte Morrow I was very lu...cky a few years a go through my mate Sam Austen to meet the amazing Charlotte who at the time was 8. Her sister ran in to her parents bedroom one morning screaming that she wasn't breathing and was unconscious and was lucky that an ambulance was close by. Diagnosed with rare form of Brain Cancer things didn't look good. When i met her she was such a loving person always smiling and laughing and saying "Chicken i'll beat this beast" OMG i'd never met anyone like her. A mad Western Bulldogs Supporter last year Marcus Bontempelli did a video for Kicking for Cancer to inspire her which was brilliant We made her an ambassador for Kicking for Cancer to inspire other kids that you can beat the beast 1 year since end of treatment!! 5 continued clear scans!! And here's to another one shortly!! One amazing kid!! The Celebration Bell. Ring the bell with all your might, Ring the bell remember your fight. Ring the bell, ring your fears away, Ring the bell celebrate the day!! You GO Charlotte you bloody superstar. Go get em' kid. What an amazing family
