24.01.2022 It saddens me to say that after 7 years of owning Kickstart fitness and being part of an amazing team and family that I have to announce that the gym will be closed permanently due to financial strains. We had to continue to pay rent throughout Covid-19 with forced closure and also with Shane's bad news of being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. We thank each and everyone of you, previous and past clients, for all your support over the years. It has been an amazing chapter in ...our lives and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the changes in all of you. I will continue with Kickstart Fitness as a Mobile Personal Training and Sports Massage business. I have created a new app and website... I hope you all get on and follow me. Ill have blogs on there with info about workouts, foods, health etc as well as workouts you can do at home or in the gym. Thank you all again for being part of my family for the past 7 years. It has been AMAZING! See more

17.01.2022 Hi Kickstart Team, following the Government's announcement last night to keep our nation safe and slow the spread of the coronavirus, we will be closing our doors from tonight, Monday 23nd March. All memberships will be suspended and no direct debits will be taken during this closure period, as well as all personal training sessions being put on hold and will recommence once the government allows us to reopen our doors.... We are immensely grateful for the loyalty, support and understanding demonstrated by our team and all of our members in these incredibly difficult times. When it is safe to do so, we are looking forward to welcoming you all back into our studio. Until then, stay connected, stay active and stay safe. 14.01.2022 Another at home workout to try! Remember exercise can help our immune system become strong, less susceptible to infections and better able to recover. You can do this anywhere from your backyard to your lounge room Exercises 1. Burpees... 2. Squat Jumps 3. Mountain Climbers 4. Lunges 5. Step ups (step or bench) 6. Pushups 7. Sit-ups 8. Tricep Dips (Lounge or bench) * 45 secs per exercise / 15 secs rest * 3 Rounds (1 min rest between rounds)

All of this cumulative sitting increases the physiological load on your back. By strengthening your back and core muscles with the pull-up, you reduce your chances of future back pain and injury. 4. Improved physique Want to look great in that tank top? Pull-ups help define your back and biceps and work your core. All of this makes your waist look smaller. 12.01.2022 HOME BOOTY WORKOUT! This is a great little workout that only takes up 12 minutes of your time. How it works: Each exercise equals 1 minute. Choose how long you’d like to work and rest for (work/rest, 30/30, 40/20, 45/15, 60/0). Once you’ve spent 1 minute on an exercise move to the next. ... Exercise: 1. Glute bridges 2. Single leg glute bridge 3. Single leg glute bridge (other side) 4. Donkey kick pulses 5. Donkey kick pulses (other side) 6. Fire hydrants 7. Fire hydrants (other side) 8. Side lying leg raises 9. Clams 10. Side lying leg raises (other side) 11. Clams (other side) 12. In-out squat pulses Try and get through as many reps as you can in the time given but don’t rush and make sure you use correct technique. If you have dumbbells available you’re able to challenge yourself using weights, if not that’s totally fine as you can challenge yourself with the time eg. you can work for longer than your rest. You’ll definitely feel this one

10.01.2022 Don't forget to keep stretching as well as exercising during isolation. There is many benefits. I do this stretch quite often, especially when I start to get headaches from tight shoulders and neck.
