24.01.2022 COVID Safe Training - Moorabbin Baseball Club Training begins this week for all juniors and seniors (men and women) living within the 25km limit. There are several important changes to take note of. These protocols have been introduced for the safety of all members and are in line with government and Baseball Victoria requirements. 1. You must have registered through Sports TG to attend training. This is the link - registration is free https://regoform.mygameday.app/ 2. You ...must check in to training using our QR code. The code will be in several places on the fences. Open your camera app and hold it over the QR code. It will direct you to a form to complete where you will need to provide your name and phone number. Parents please add your child's name and your contact number. 3. You must use hand sanitiser before you begin training and reapply every 30 minutes during training. Hand sanitiser will be available at training. 4. You must wipe down any shared equipment. Alcohol wipes are available at training. 5. Senior training has been divided into groups. You are only allowed to train in your assigned group. Please refer to Team App for your group, training location and start time. 6. You must not hang around before or after training - the directive is to get in, train and get out. Please only turn up 15 minutes before your allocated start time and once you have checked in, head immediately to your designated area. 7. Club rooms are not accessible this week. Please bring your own water bottle. Toilet facilities are available at the cricket club. Thank you to everyone for their co operation with these new rules.

19.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF DBA SENIOR & JUNIOR WINTER SEASON Dandenong Baseball Association this morning informed our clubs and Baseball Victoria of its decision to cance...l the 2020 Winter season. To all Dandenong Baseball Association members and friends. It is with much sadness and regret that I announce on behalf of the DBA Board that the 2020 senior/junior Winter baseball season will be cancelled as of Monday the 6th of July. I would like to thank all members of the baseball community for their patience in these trying times. This decision has not been made lightly, and we hope that you all respect our decision. The DBA board have made every endeavour to try and run some form of a season, but with the recent events around COVID 19, it is making it impossible for us to move forward for a safe season. We have had weekly meetings with BV, and constant meetings with our clubs to discuss our options. We believe our decision to cancel the 2020 season is the right decision for our members to stay safe. We believe it is just not viable for the clubs to run a junior season due to the cost or the workload involved. And concerns about the health of members of the baseball community outweigh any desire to get a game played. If anything, restrictions seem likely to be increased. MWBL and GBA has also come to similar conclusions, and is in the process of notifying their members. I hope everyone stays healthy and safe as we look forward to a bigger and better season in 2021. Yours sincerely. Gillian Gavin President - DBA

17.01.2022 The 2020/21 AGM is scheduled for Monday 24th May at 7pm via Zoom. We have received nominations for several committee positions but we are looking for people to fill two of the executive roles - President and Vice President. You do not need to have played or coached baseball to take on these jobs. You don’t need to have committee experience. You just need to be passionate about the Moorabbin Baseball Club and it’s future and be someone who is prepared to work with a supportiv...e committee to help with the administration of the club. Nomination forms can be found on Team App or contact the club for more information.

09.01.2022 Season 20/21 Update Baseball Victoria had a meeting tonight to discuss plans for the 2020/21 summer season. At this stage we are planning for baseball to commence in line with Victoria moving to Third Step Restrictions on October 26. The plan at this stage is for juniors to commence full training at this time with games to follow fairly shortly thereafter. Seniors will be able to return to training at this time but under number restrictions such as two groups of 10 on the fie...ld at a time, similar to what we got to for the winter season. We are not yet sure when senior games will begin as baseball is classified as a contact sport. There will be a free compulsory registration to begin with through Sports TG for all training and games. A lot of the details of the season are still to be decided such as training number limits for seniors, season structure, fees, spectator numbers etc and we will bring this information to you as soon as we have it. Baseball Victoria will be releasing an updated version of the Return To Training Plan on Thursday so we may have some more information then. The committee are continuing to work very hard behind the scenes to ensure we are as prepared as we can be for the start of the season, hopefully late next month.

16.12.2021 Congratulations Nick Bertucci for making the Melbourne Aces squad for the upcoming series versus Adelaide. Nicks inclusion as a development player is reward for being one of the hardest working young athletes in the state. It’s an exciting experience and the panthers are really proud of you.

10.12.2021 Congratulations to Adam Harris on committing to umpqua college. Adam has been a part of the panthers for the last five seasons after starting his baseball journey at Springvale baseball club and winter club Frankston.
