23.01.2022 Christmas is a time for generosity and fun! The Kickstart Crew raised money at their PJ movie night last night to buy Christmas presents for sick children staying in hospital this festive season. We made popcorn to share whilst watching Finding Dory and devoured delicious pizza , and even celebrated a birthday in the process. #workinghardorhardlyworking

23.01.2022 The creative juices were flowing today at the Outsider Artists program in preparation for Halloween! Artist Victoria Velozo supported our participants in expressing their creative abilities through colourful mask-making. #glitterfordays

21.01.2022 We don't horse around at work experience!!! Kickstart Careers participants Sean and Ethan have absolutely loved their time so far working with the horses at North Terrace Equestrian Centre. Whether it is feeding, brushing or picking up manure, these two boys have a huge amount of fun! "This work is lots and lots of fun. I like it so much that now I want to get my own horse!" Sean says. After a wonderful day feeding Red or brushing Storm Ethan and Sean are ready to hit the HAY!

19.01.2022 Greenacres’ very own Christmas elves delivered a special surprise for sick kids in Wollongong Hospital’s Children’s Ward yesterday. The Kickstart Careers partic...ipants organised a Pyjama Party fundraiser raising enough money to buy 30 Christmas presents for kids and a 'Distraction Box' filled with games and craft for teenagers. They had so much fun delivering the presents and seeing the joy and excitement of the children. Congratulations to everyone involved! See more

14.01.2022 After a morning of workplace training, Jack got the Kickstart crew moving at lunch time by teaching them a TikTok dance - we think they nailed it!

11.01.2022 Happy Halloween! Our Kickstart Careers participants had great fun organising and celebrating Halloween with colourful costumes and creative decorations! We rolled up our sleeves and got into the kitchen to create themed foods. Chocolate spiders, fruit skewers, mummy hot-dogs, and spooky jellies were on the menu. The day ended with dancing to a festive playlist, compliments of our SLES participants.

07.01.2022 Last week we celebrated the achievements of our Kickstart participants at a special ceremony in the Kickstart centre. We are so proud of them for taking on new... challenges, trying different work experiences, gaining qualifications, achieving some amazing employment outcomes and creating great friendships along the way. We would also like to thank local MP Sharon Bird for coming on the night to give out the awards and the wonderful staff who have supported them on this journey. As a part of this interactive exhibition, for people of all abilities, we participated in a professional photo-shoot s...howcasing our extravagant wearables! The exhibition is on until Sunday the 1st of December at Wollongong Art Gallery. Be sure not to miss out on this interactive experience!
