25.01.2022 Dear KIC Swim School Community. Due to current Covid operating restrictions, and being inundated with enquires over the last few weeks we have had to close our bookings for Term 1 2021 early. We have started a waiting list for Term 2, and will continue to assess new families throughout Term 1 so that they are ready to go if space allows for Term 2. ... **Any families with assessments booked up to and including Friday 5th Feb will still have the opportunity to book into classes for Term 1, space permitting*** We understand this will disappoint many families who may not have been able to enroll as yet - however our hands are tied with space and number requirements. We hope this changes in the near future so that we can welcome more of you back to the facility.

25.01.2022 Congratulations to our 8 Kardinia International College Swimming Club swimmers who competed at the All Junior Semi Finals in Melbourne today! To qualify for this event our swimmers had to finish in the top 8 at the district championships in Warrnambool 2 weeks ago, and we had 8 swimmers qualify for 14 events today. With covid restrictions meaning the swimmers were separated from families (who had to stay in the stands whilst the swimmers remained poolside), the nerves of a ...big meet with stands full of spectators, live-streaming of the event of big screens around the centre and online, along with Melbourne’s true 4 seasons in a day weather there were a few new challenges to face for all, however the club finished up with a tally of 9 personal best times from the 14 races swim. Juliet and Henry both walked away with multiple personal best times today with Juliet achieving 3 in her 3 races, and Henry with 2 from his 2 races. Alesha once again took the biggest improvement for the day, slashing 3.5 seconds off her previous best 50m backstroke time. Well done team on your great efforts today, for our first major championship competition - hopefully this is the first of many to come for you all!

19.01.2022 KIC SWIM SCHOOL UPDATE: Afterschool and Weekend Swimming Lessons only Dear KIC Swim School Families, We hope that you are all well and have been enjoying your School Holiday period with your family. ... We have received a number of emails and calls over the past week in regards to Term 4 lessons and wanting to enrol, and we know that it is probably at the front of mind for many families. Unfortunately at this time we do not have any update on when indoor pools will be able to reopen for commercial swimming lesson programs (which is what our afterschool and weekend lesson program is classified as). Due to no confirmed dates for the re-opening of indoor Aquatic facilities for commercial programs or public use, KIC Swim School will not be taking enrolments for any of the programs we provide (Learn to Swim, Squad, Holiday programs, lap or recreational swimming) at this stage. We are in consistent contact with the Victorian Government, DHHS, Lifesaving Victoria, Swim Australia and other relevant bodies to ensure we are up-to-date with the relevant information regarding the re-opening of KIC Swim School. As soon as we have a green light, along with receiving the information on the regulations and restrictions in place and ensuring our Covid safe plan meets this criteria, we will be in contact in regards to how to enrol into the program and the information on what this looks like for our families. We look forward to updating you with information as soon as possible in regards to this. Kind Regards, The KIC Swim School Teachers, Lorell, Shannon, Rhianna and Mark

The meet was meant to be held 2 weeks ago however had to be postponed due to the recent lockdown.
