13.01.2022 Exploring the sea world !! On my holidays I enjoyed going to the beach and I saw lots of fishes and also a jelly fish, said one of the children, this sparked an interest among the others as they all shared some of their encounters with the sea world providing the perfect opportunity to explore the sea. After weeks of research we made a few discoveries - animals that lives in the ocean, habitats and diet, how sand is formed, water safety, animals that can survive in water an...d land are called amphibians and how we can help keep the sea environment clean so the sea creatures are safe. Children engaged with various hands on and art/craft experiences to develop on their understanding and current knowledge as well as used fact sheets, encyclopaedias, online information and books. We are currently researching what corals are, their purpose, how sand is formed and soon will be planning a visit to the aquarium....!! See more

A great way to embed diversity and multiculturalism!!

06.01.2022 Another week of celebrating diversity and respecting multiculturalism as we celebrated Diwali. It was an opportunity to engage in fun activities associated with this festival ..making paper lamps, painting fireworks, making decorative wall art, painting the earthen lamps, creating coloured floor art, henna tattoos, enjoying a traditional Indian sweet and dancing away to Bollywood music!!! It was a fun filled day! Happy Diwali

02.01.2022 Wishing Bhavya a lovely 4th birthday....we had so much fun celebrating your special day and enjoying the cake ...thank you....have a great day ahead

02.01.2022 This morning our children spotted a scared and timid visitor hiding under the table....a small little baby bird ! Seemed to have fallen off from the tree or somewhere as it had an injured leg! The children enjoyed watching it take small flights and were excited when it landed on the educator...there was lots of yelling with excitement as the children wanted to touch the baby bird. With utmost care and gentleness we gave it a little pat amd soon made a little tray for it to r...est on. The children gathered leaves and small sticks to make it comfortable and put a little container of water. During the entire episode we spoke about what type of bird it might be, listened to its small chirping sounds, spoke about the food it can eat and beautiful colours we can spot. We also looked out for its mum as we heard some more chirping from the tree. We then placed the tray on the tree and to our surprise the mum found its baby and fed it while the children all clapped and hoped the baby bird gets better soon and can fly in the sky!! See more

01.01.2022 What a great way to embed an understanding of a clean environment at a very young age. Today we spoke about the importance of a clean environment and how we can contribute as individuals, we spoke about the sea and why the sea habitats are in danger. Then we discussed about using the right bins for waste disposal and how recycled things are processed. To provide a hands on experience we set up our yard with waste paper, food scraps, a pretend sea with rubbish etc and children were excited to dress up in their bright vests eager to make the environment cleaner and healthier CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY 2021
