23.01.2022 Dear Kids Are Kids! families, Perth and Peel region will be in a transition from lock down from 6pm today for 8 days. We have considered all the guidelines and will be providing some face to face services from Monday, but that these will be minimal in order to keep staff and families safe. We have many staff that will continue to work from home next week, and most services will still be through zoom or phone mediums where this is indicated. ... All of our staff will be wearing face masks for sessions offered in person, but there may be occasions where these need to be removed to communicate effectively with you, with your consent. All adults and children over 12 years old are required to wear face masks if attending our centre. Your therapist will be contacting you to let you know how any scheduled appointments will occur next week. If anyone in your household is unwell it is important that you cancel the session, and you will not be billed for this cancellation. Thank you for your understanding. Therapy Scholarships for 2021 will have two dedicated scholarships to provide therapy and support via tele-practice to vulnerable children and their families who reside in regional WA. Kids Are Kids! was successful in a recent grant application through Connellan Airways Trust. This grant has provided the opportunity to continue this important program in 2021 and for the first time designate two scholarships to children living in small isolated, remote and regi...onal areas of WA. Through an application process, the scholarship will allow two families who are facing financial hardship to access much needed therapy to support their childs developmental needs. The scholarships are typically awarded to families who dont qualify for government funded services, or where these are inadequate to meet their needs. The Therapy Scholarships are valued at $2,500 each and will commence in 2021. Applications will be open later this year, with representatives from both Connellan Airways Trust and Kids Are Kids! participating in the selection panel.
