20.01.2022 Repost from @dr_cindy_mak_breast_surgeon Sentinel node probes! This is what the SBCF raffle is fundraising for. Yesterday I removed a lymph node from a patient who has a breast cancer. I found this node using a device that picks up radioactivity contained in the sentinel node. The device is seen at the forefront of the photo. . .... I had another colleague operating next door and we had to share the probe because the other one is having technical issues! This delays our surgery and can add to anaesthetic time for patients. . . Please purchase a ticket to help us fund the purchase of the latest probes, to improve our efficiency and the quality of care for our patients.
