20.01.2022 Kayne was diagnosed with an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour (AT/RT) - a very rare type of brain cancer - shortly before his second birthday. He underwent a gruelling 18 months of chemotherapy and multiple brain surgeries. Today, Kayne celebrates 6 years post treatment! Now 9, Kayne has to live with side effects from his treatment, but it hasn’t stopped him. He has just discovered go karting and one day he wants to own his own kart to go in the big races like his coaches. Re...ad Kayne’s story at https://ccia.org.au/home/all-stories/kaynes-story/ Brain tumours have the worst survival rate of all childhood cancers. This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month help us spread the word for more effective and less toxic treatments for kids like Kayne. #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #gogoldforkids #CuringChildhoodCancer #ItsNotIfItsWhen

11.01.2022 Today is International Legacy Day. From everyone here at Children’s Cancer Institute, we want to say a big thank you to all those incredible people who have, or are planning on, leaving a charitable gift in their Will. It’s a little-known fact that most of the good causes we all rely on are funded by gifts in Wills, and we are no exception. Without these generous donations, we would not be able to continue our work to one day cure all children of cancer. #legacyday2020 #includeacharity #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #CuringChildhoodCancer #ItsNotIfItsWhen
