23.01.2022 Kids Pantry would like to recognise the difficulties everyone has been put through this year. As a kids cooking school we would like to acknowledge the struggles parents and their children are going through especially in lockdown situations. We realise how hard it is for parents having to entertain their bored, bubbly, creative and smart children with often no other outlet than each other. We understand the pressure this puts on the family, especially p...arents who are the go to people for entertainment and food. Kids Pantry was set up 10 years ago as a kids cooking school, giving children necessary skills and understanding regarding food and nutrition in an entertaining and fun environment. Jump ahead 10 years and recently, more and more parents have shown interest and are asking if Kids Pantry will provide an online forum for their children to learn the important life skills and cooking techniques that they will take with them throughout their life. Parents believe the positives their children will get through Kids Pantry are these: - Life skills in nutrition and cooking which they can immediate apply at home - Confidence their children will obtain as they feel like they are contributing to the family - Provide parents some respite as children are positively engaged which promotes family unity and happiness Kids Pantry is compiling a Masterclass Program for young family members which they can attend in their own home on a regular basis to build up their skills and knowledge in an entertaining manner. We aim to have this provided at a cost which is affordable for many families. While red meat or chicken usually spring to mind when talking about protein, don’t forget plants provide a big protein punch too. Legumes such as chickpeas, lentil and beans are some of the richest protein sources, but don't forget tofu, soy milk, nuts and seeds. If dairy, eggs or seafood are in your vegetarian menu, that’s another win for protein
