21.01.2022 JUNIOR FOOTBALL REGISTRATION! With the junior football season fast approaching, it’s important everyone is registered ahead of round one! 20.01.2022 Proud to be Kilcunda Bass!! Today our juniors headed off to Dandenong for a tournament, sun was shining, the perfect day for netball. Each and every player, coach, and supporter represented the club with pride, passion and respect. With tough opposition not once did we see one player give up, you all put in 100%! Future looking bright in Panther land

12.01.2022 MEALS & THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTY AT KBFNC! Come down to the rooms tonight to watch the Blues take on the Pies while enjoying a beautiful meal from the KBFNC Bistro! It was a great turnout last Thursday night and we’re hoping to get an even bigger one this week! See you and the family there!

12.01.2022 TRAINING/CHRISTMAS BREAKUP TONIGHT! Get down to Bass for our last training of 2020 tonight! Senior football & netball will be training along with the Under 18’s and 16’s football! Afterwards, there will be a Covid-friendly barbecue and drinks available for anyone so feel free to come and catch up for one last time before a big 2021! ... So come over, sit down and enjoy a socially distanced drink with your mates

11.01.2022 AGM WRAP UP! Last Sunday we held our AGM and we are now able to make some exciting announcements about our executive positions. Firstly, we would like to thank Rob Halley for his work as treasurer over the last year! Luckily for our members, we’ll all still see Rob on the gate every home game! ... Also thank you to outgoing secretary, Jane McGillivray! We welcome Jude Watson and Trudy Jamieson back to the committee! They will be sharing the role of treasurer. Also coming on committee is Jo Peacock and Dorene Blum! Jo and Dorene will be sharing secretarial duties. Many of you may know Jo from her days as a trainer and Dorene has been involved with our Sunday football for a number of years. It’s also pleasing to report that John Airdrey will be joining the committee for 2021. John has a wealth of experience at football club’s and we look forward to having him on board!

07.01.2022 PAST PLAYER SPOTLIGHT ON THURSDAY! Not only will there be beautiful meals and footy on the big screen this Thursday night, but we will also be chatting to club legend Peter ‘Zig’ Mabilia! The club’s history will be a big focus in 2021 and throughout the year we’ll be making sure our past players are a big part of our future! ... So get along and listen to a couple of good stories from one of the club’s greatest players, while enjoying the company of our awesome supporters! 06.01.2022 RE-SIGNING! Huge news! Taylor Gibson is back on board for 2021! Gibbo arrived at the Panthers in 2016 and it didn’t take long to figure out that he is an absolute gun. The 2019 Best and Fairest can play at either end of the ground, but we’ll likely see his dominant marking skills put to use up forward this year. Gibbo is certainly going to cause opposition some headaches this season and we can’t wait to see him take the field!

04.01.2022 NO JUNIOR TRAINING! Over the next two weeks while school holidays is on, there will be no training for the Under 14’s, 12’s and 10’s. Training will resume at 5pm on Tuesday, April 20, in the meantime have fun and remember to register if you haven’t already!... We still have a few spots in our Under 14’s and 12’s, so if you, or any youngsters you know are keen on a game of footy, come down!

03.01.2022 We’d like to wish a Very Merry Christmas to all our players, coaches and supporters! We can’t wait to see everybody back at the club in 2021! There will be news about registration day and the resumption of training in the coming days!

02.01.2022 BILL SLADE TRIBUTE & TERRY HART CUP! On Sunday, before we took on the Killy Bass Cricket Club in the Terry Hart Cup, the Bill Slade Bass River Bar was opened. As we know, Bill was a much-loved member of both clubs, so it was decided the new bar, attached to a brand-new sheltered area, would be named in his honour. The $25,000 project was made possible by extremely generous donations from many people and businesses, and both clubs and Bill’s family are incredibly happy wit...h the final result! Special thanks to Van Steensel Timbers, Holcim Concrete, Calcrete, Russ Loughridge, Arma Shutter, Weightman Plumbing, CartBrick, Bayden Johnson, everyone that helped from both club’s and last but not least, Bill’s great mate Trevor Aplin, for the materials and labour donated to the bar and sheltered area! After the opening, the Terry Hart Cup was underway and unfortunately we couldn’t quite do enough to secure a third win in a row The cricketers proved to be a bit too good this year but we can’t wait to get it back in 2022! : Photos by Nici Cahill @Snapshot Photography!
