18.01.2022 One year ago today, I, along with 5 other intrepid travelers, together summited Mt Kilimanjaro. (That's me in the red jacket) This climb was put together by Afr...ican Addictive Adventures (A A Adventures, Moshi.) This trip was called ‘Climb KILLI for Cancer’. Money was raised for a cancer clinic in Moshi . This trip was well planned and well organized. Great porters , cooks and awesome guides. I personally don’t think that I would have made it to the summit if it wasn’t for these guides; they were very patient and caring of their clients. The encouragement given on summit night was great. They could see that some of us were struggling, but a hand on your back and a gentle helping push was all that was needed to get me to the summit. This climb was fun.. Well that’s if you call climbing to the summit at -10 degC fun! So If you are thinking of planning a trip to Tanzania, do yourself a favour and contact AA Adventures, or contact Tania Burgess on the sunshine coats via facebook. See more
