16.01.2022 Very inspirational. Today marks the 1st day of our September Regional Paediatric Cardiac Clinic. Today we welcome our new Cardiologists, Tim Colen, Nurse Deanne and Justin Gordon, Specialist Paediatric Cardiac Physiologist who have travelled from Brisbane and will be seeing our Townsville and Surrounds HeartKids and their families over the next 2 and a half days. Once again the team from Brisbane are working their way through appointments from earlier in the year due to ou...r earlier clinic being cancelled due to COVID-19. We understand that for families who are still waiting to be seen by our Brisbane team, that this can be quite frustrating. Please if you have any concerns regarding your HeartKids health (or your own health) that you make an appointment to see your GP or present to emergency at the Townsville University Hospital. Thinking of all our HeartKids and their families who have appointments over the following few days. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G2uOb_25_lY See more

15.01.2022 Due to safety concerns and restrictions around COVID-19 in some of our volunteer run locations, Two Feet & A Heartbeat in some QLD locations including Townsville will now be going ahead as a virtual event! What does this mean? You can still walk for HeartKids, find out how on https://www.heartkids.org.au/what/two-feet-a-heartbeat-2020

14.01.2022 We are busy preparing for HeartKids Two Feet and a Heartbeat Charity Walk on Sunday 18th October. Whilst most walks this year will be virtual, we still have a fantastic program lined up for everyone on the day including a Welcome to Country, memorial service, Spotify Playlist, craft sessions, magic shows and more. At this stage, the Brisbane walk will be going ahead at Kalinga Park, if anyone would like to change their location to Brisbane please contact us by 12th October as we will not be able to accommodate changes after this date due to number restrictions. We have an approved COVID Safe Plan and permit in place to hold this event in Brisbane and unfortunately this year we will be unable to take registrations on the day.
