18.01.2022 EXERCISING HORSES DURING COVID19 SITUATION. QUEENSLAND - AUSTRALIA. A number of people have shared information from Policelink Qld which indicated that exercising horses off property was not classed as exercise for people and therefore illegal under the COVID19 restrictions currently in place in Qld. Policelink Qld, this morning (15/4/2020) confirmed that this information is not correct. ... In a nutshell, you are able to ride your horses off property provided you abide by the isolation laws in place. You may ride with one other person who does not reside with you or anyone who does live with you. If you are riding on someone else’s property, then there can only be two people at a time ‘visiting’ the property. Racing Qld has different rules as it is classified as being a workplace so exercising racehorses is work, not personal exercise. Trail riding is fine so long as the isolation laws are strictly obeyed.

14.01.2022 1 more sleep until our first rally of the year!! Need to be ready to ride at 9 so could you all arrive a bit earlier so we can sort out all the paperwork etc. We will be in the indoor for lessons but in our clubhouse for lunch. Horse can be put into the yards near our clubhouse ... Riders must have helmets (check dates etc please) boots (flat sole) long pants shirt (no singlets) For your horse saddle with 2 points/buckle for girth bridle saddle cloth halter and lead Please also bring along A water bottle A smile $5 for lunch And of course your pony! Also anyone that will be around the horses MUST have closed in shoes please! We have hotdogs for lunch so if they are not suitable for you or your kids please BYO something because we don’t want anyone going hungry!!! See you in the morning

12.01.2022 April Colouring Competition Ok so being stuck at home has made us a little crazy so we have decided what better way to make us all feel better than to do a colouring competition!!! This is open to anyone who likes our page and to all ages! ... To enter all you need to do is 1. Like our page (or get mum or dad to) 2. Pick either colouring picture 3. Print out your chosen picture 4. Colour it in however you want 5. Take a picture of your colouring so we can judge it 6. Take a picture of you holding it also 7. Send both pictures to our page as a private message You must submit your colouring to us by the end of April 2020. We will pick 2 winners and we will post the winning pictures on our page (with the contact number taken out) and please dont post them on our page as we dont want your number being viable to lots of people. Winner’s prizes will include a grooming kit, scraper & a lead rope So get colouring and remember we can only have 2 winners so make your picture as beautiful and as colourful as you can! *Prize must be collected in person from either Kilkivan or Gympie by the end of May 2020

07.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that took the time to come to the AGM. We have a new team ready to get things on a roll, and have some exciting adventures in the works for Pony Club. Our new team members are: President- Bianca Jackson... Secretary - Olivia Walton Treasurer - Olivia Walton Chief Instructor - Belinda Smith We have our first club day happening on the 15th of March 9- 12. We are in the process of organising a 'come and try day' where there will be a small fee (to cover insurance for the day) to see if you would like to join our club. More information to come.. Thanks again, and we hope to see you at Kilkivan pony club on the 15th.

04.01.2022 AGM successfully held tonight and the 2019 Committee is as follows President - Leah Frohloff, Vice President- Hayley Cooper, Secretary - Sandra Brunner, Treasur...er - Karen Crouch Instructors Preschool/Refresher to held annually last week end in February & if the need arises possibly a 2nd instructors refresher will be run again later in the year. Pony Club QLD has recently advised that instructors must now attend refresher clinics every two years, effective from now. For those who cannot make refresher school this week end at Kingaroy, another will be offered later in the at a date TBA

03.01.2022 Hi everyone, due to a few wet weather related factors which includes some date changes for judges, we are moving our formal gymkhana to the 7th of June. If you have already nominated we can refund asap or hold the nomination to the 7th June. Please PM us with any concerns.
