24.01.2022 Ah what great memories! Does anyone remember the old Cash & Carry in Killarney maybe back in 60s or 50s! Some great bargains there!

19.01.2022 Just had a call from Pip Courtney/ ABC Landline. Pip informs me that Landline was looking for a happy story to run on Fathers day this coming Sunday and asked i...f it was OK to run Ralph Affleck sawmill story. How wonderful that Ralph story is still so popular after seeing it on Landline some 6 years ago. Yes he is a LEGION Pip! See more

08.01.2022 I am so very grateful that Ivan Hancock introduced me to Ralph Affleck years ago. Through promoting Ralph to the World through ABC Landline story in 2014, Ralph segment has now been aired on National TV 7 times along with Chanel 9 Extra in 1997 and Chanel 7 Sunrise in 2015 and not to miss RM Williams Outback mag in 2015. Ralph and wife Heather have donated all monies raised to Guide Dogs Queensland amounting to many thousands. I’d like to thank Ralph and family for their contribution to Killarney Tourism. If you missed Landline here’s the link to Ralphs story; https://www.abc.net.au/landline/vintage-mill/5825036

07.01.2022 Interesting story of the Affleck sawmill repeated on Landline today with Ralph Affleck designing his own sawmill to be operated by just one man, and using a 30cm ruler to draw up the plans. Wow. See Warwick Daily News Tuesday 17 November 1931, page 5 , Killarney headed "Men Who Clearer the Way" and alsohttps://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/rendition/nla.news-article177519582.txt
