03.01.2022 "A New Year Resolution ; dont brush it aside " Civilizations around the world have been celebrating the start of each new year for over 4000 years . In 45 BC with the adoption of the Julian Calendar, New Years Day fell on January 1 for the first time . This calendar was based on the solar , rather than lunar , cycle and no longer amended for political advantage or to catch up with the seasons . Still imperfect the Julian calendar was usurped by the Gregorian Calendar in 15...82 and since then people around the globe have gathered to celebrate the precise arrival of the New Year . If you are thinking of challenging yourself with a raft of New Year Resolutions why not add oral health to the agenda . To make tooth brushing a mindful , and hopefully therefore meaningful endeavour ,try brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand . You will be surprised .
