25.01.2022 Oooh arrrr hope you and your little ones are all finding ways to stay entertained whilst we’re still closed (hopefully not digging up the pavement ). We’re eagerly awaiting Dan Andrews to allow toy libraries to reopen (plus then permission from the council to reopen as we’re in their space). Stay tuned!

24.01.2022 Don't get too excited too soon...it will be a LONG road and a LOT of work for a group of very tired Mums (aka your committee) BUT...I have a large cup of tea and am starting work on our COVIDsafe plan. Eep! Really look forward to seeing you all as soon as we are able to make this happen!

24.01.2022 Wishing a happy Father’s Day to everyone out there who plays the role of Dad. We hope you’re all safe and well.

23.01.2022 Calling all current members - please check your inbox for exciting membership news, and also please be awesome and let us know if you can help us to run duties this year. We can't do it without you guys https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G83YLVF (Drop us a line if you didn't receive your email and/or check your junk mail!)

23.01.2022 Competition Time!!!! Thanks to Toy Libraries Australia win a year’s free membership to The Toy Library of Kilmore (or your local toy library if that’s not us) and a set of Maggie Dent audio books

23.01.2022 Don’t forget to collect all you Easter Egg Foil Wrappers and scrunch them into a big ball. Then you can throw it in the recycling bin. But it needs to be a large mass. Another suggestion: fill a can with the smaller pieces and then throw the whole can in the recycle bin, once it’s full!!

22.01.2022 Oh yes!! Chapter 10 my life currently

22.01.2022 Have you seen this great activity idea/competition from our friends at The Bush Bus? It closes today... so dodge the showers to find a gum leaf and get your entries in quick sticks!

21.01.2022 This kid is breaking my heart . Latest advise is: People both in the Mt Disappointment area and outside it are being urged to check every room and outhouse for Will and to be mindful if he is found near a road as he does not have a good road sense. Anyone outside the immediate area, do not discount that William may not have travelled that far so check your house.

21.01.2022 This poor boy is still missing. Request is for residents in the Mt Disappointment area to check your homes and outbuildings

21.01.2022 Hi everyone. Please be aware!

21.01.2022 Haaaa!! What a great game idea.

21.01.2022 We are excited that 2 members have booked appointments to return their toys on Thursday. There are 4 more spots available on the 26 November. - 10:30 - 10:45 - 11:00... - 11:15 Please let us know if you need help making an appointment!!

20.01.2022 Feeling heartbroken watching ABC Australian Story We do have toys in the toy library that contain button batteries. All are secure in screw closed compartments. It’s been with much soul searching from the committee that we include these toys in the library... we ask of you to PLEASE be vigilant when you have these toys (we are labelling these accordingly) and if you do have any concerns, that you choose not to borrow these (or leave the piece with the battery in the library).

20.01.2022 Today is National Sorry Day. Thinking of the past and the sadness of many.

20.01.2022 On May 29 we are celebrating World Play Day with a Family Picnic in Hudson Park. Bring along your morning tea, a hot drink and picnic rug. Meet our Committee and other like minded Members. See Facebook for more details.... 10:30am-12pm Hudson Park, Kilmore (weather permitting)

19.01.2022 It was certainly wet and then the sun shone through!

18.01.2022 Unfortunately our committee member is running a bit late today. Please be patient. These things happen!Unfortunately our committee member is running a bit late today. Please be patient. These things happen!

17.01.2022 Go to https://kilmore.mibase.com.au/home/index.php and use your log in details to make an appointment. You can also place toys on hold to pick up during your appointment.

17.01.2022 *EDIT* please keep your eyes out, but please leave the search to the professionals, for multiple reasons If any Toy Library members are Mt Disappointment way...please keep a look out

16.01.2022 Such an important reminder about safety around the house.

15.01.2022 Did you get the email? Here is a quick overview.. It is with sadness we announce that our President Zoe Grey has stepped down from her role as President, and from the committee in general. The joy that she has brought to the committee and her love for the toy library has been incredible. Your new look committee looks like this:... Position of President: Louise D Position of Vice President: Simone Position of Treasurer: Emma Position of Secretary: Louise J We encourage anyone who has thought of stepping into the committee to please put your hand up and help us out. If we don't get more committee members, you may find us not being able to open every week. One final piece of news for this email is the exciting bit...we have our grand reopening date...Thursday 26th November! We will be opening as click and collect, with various changes to our procedures which we will send out next week. You can expect an email towards the end of next week with all of the details as to how this will work moving forwards. If you cannot attend on a Thursday or Monday, but are keen to recommence borrowing, please do reach out and let us know so we can have a chat about it. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

15.01.2022 Enjoy the long weekend. A reminder we are NOT open tomorrow. BUT we are open next Thursday!! Bookings are now open.

13.01.2022 This is an amazing opportunity for families to attend a story session online with the talented Annette Sax, a Taungurung woman and director of Yarn Strong Sista. This is a fun activity to join in from home and listen to a wonderful story and learn some local lore and First Nations knowledge. Following the link to sign up.

12.01.2022 Make an appointment at the toy library this Saturday and stock up for the school holidays

12.01.2022 Wishing our wonderful toy library family, and all our followers, a happy Easter

12.01.2022 Such fantastic news! Well done to all those who searched tirelessly for him https://apple.news/AiUO2-hopRzSsQ2FPGoVbxg

12.01.2022 The latest advice: Will is very food focused so police are asking members of the community to please open any windows and doors if they are cooking in the hope that he can smell the food. He likes chocolate. He is also very interested in Thomas the Tank Engine and water bottles. If people see Will they should use hand gestures to get his attention. Be found soon Will

11.01.2022 This is great news for a local business!! Hopefully you can support them somehow.

10.01.2022 At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

09.01.2022 I’m in tears thinking about being locked in (for my own safety) with my young children and running low on nappies or formula. Not sure when I may get ‘dropped’ some. Just imagining the struggles of being ‘stuck’ inside with a crying baby or toddler. I have no idea how else I can help so I’ve donated money to support those in need. Big hugs to each of our toy family members. We hope you are all doing well and you are in our thoughts. Simone

09.01.2022 What a big two weeks! Firstly we reopen, and now our good friends at The Bush Bus are back up and running. Awesome news all round

06.01.2022 This kid is a genius at using the magnatiles!! Look at his skills at pulling them together. He definitely knows his net shapes.

03.01.2022 Awesome to hear that Toy Libraries are allowed to reopen as of 22 June. Please be patient however waiting for The Toy Library Of Kilmore to reopen there’s lots to work through... approval from the shire/whether and when the library is open, rules and regulations regarding cleaning/quarantine of toys, density limits for visitors. There’s a lot to digest and organise... but we’ll get onto it and keep you posted along the way

02.01.2022 If you’ve got the magnatiles at home, this could be a fun challenge!!

02.01.2022 Thanks so much Wallan & Kilmore Community Bank Branches for your support. This enables us to provide a year’s free membership for 2021 to those who were members of the toy library when COVID struck and half price membership to all new members throughout 2021 let’s make 2021 the year of fun

02.01.2022 It’s teeth time!

01.01.2022 We are open this Thursday Rita!! Let’s make a booking Janet....
