25.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: I am no longer setting up my stall at Eumundi Markets on a weekly basis. After several years of declining sales, it's no longer worth while me going. There are still plenty of people visiting on market days, but the demographic has changed. I still get plenty of people stopping and looking at my work, but they mostly offer me a comment rather than money. ... The most common comment I hear is "You're clever" (I'd rather be rich or at least comfortably well off) closely followed by "Well done" (I'm assuming those people are schoolteachers). I also hear a lot of "Oh, I'd break those" (there seems to be a lot of clumsy people out there). I've tried living on compliments and comments for a while now, but they leave me feeling somewhat empty inside. So Farewell Eumundi Markets for now. Don't forget, I'll be at the Etsy Made Local Market in the Exhibition Building at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane on the evening of 23rd and all day the 24th of November.

23.01.2022 Here's some lovely etched beads I've made for a client.

23.01.2022 I’ve been making lots of cat lanyards to sell on another site! Great for teachers, nurses or anyone who wears a lanyard. There’s just a few of these two designs left. Normally $49 plus postage. For the next couple of days they’re $39 plus $5 postage. Send me a message if you want one (or more).

22.01.2022 Simona is having a mini-sale today! Here's her post. Comment if you're interested in any of these pieces. We'll post some other glass necklaces tomorrow.

19.01.2022 A few years ago I had a book that gave step by step instruction on how to make animal heads, bodies and other sculptural pieces. After several house moves, I'd lost the book. So I posted to a glass community site, seeking the name of that book . The first person to comment was the author, Sharon Peters, http://www.smartassglass.com and she sent me a free copy! Here's the results of my first attempts at cats.

19.01.2022 These gorgeous "Ocean" necklaces will be available at our stall at the Etsy Made Local Market in Brisbane on Friday evening and all day Saturday.

17.01.2022 If you're ever in the Yass/Binalong area, call in and see some of this master glassblower's work.

15.01.2022 I've been playing with some reactive glass, trying to get lovely 'burnt steel/peacock' colours. These blown glass earrings are good, but I think there's more colour is possible.

14.01.2022 I've been busy making beads for lanyards!

14.01.2022 A Merry Xmas and all the best for the New Year to all my customers, followers and friends. Kin Kin Beads and Studio Swoon will be making a return to the (not so) Young Designers Markets at Southbank, Brisbane on Sunday, 5th of January 2020. This will be our first market in 18 months!

13.01.2022 "Desert" necklaces.

12.01.2022 I'm pretty happy with this heart!

08.01.2022 Every teacher needs AT LEAST one rainbow lanyard in their collection, right? These beautiful glass beads are handmade by my stepdad Rob in his home studio here on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They're so strong he says you'd need to hit them with a hammer to break 'em

08.01.2022 We are looking forward to this market next week.

07.01.2022 I was asked to make this bracelet for a local woman.

07.01.2022 These matte hollow glass earrings are on their way to a customer in New Zealand.

03.01.2022 Name needed! There's something very French provincial about these new handmade glass bead lanyards by my stepdad but I can't decide on a name... Any suggestions?? P.S how dreamy are the textured mint beads

03.01.2022 Here's a lot of beads that I've made in the past couple of weeks. These lanyards and a few necklaces will all be available on Lillipop's website this Sunday. Plus plenty of Lilli's own clay bead lanyards and other products. But be aware, be quick, everything sells out so fast!! #lillipopbeads https://lillipop.com.au
