It has been an extraordinary time for the Kinderlea Community during Covid-19 but the one thing that has shone through is the power of community spirit and the generosity of people. 08.01.2022 At Kinderlea we learn and work on Wurundjeri and Bunurong land. Every day we aim to acknowledge, respect, celebrate and learn about the traditional custodians of Australia. During NAIDOC Week we have been learning about the meaning of the Aboriginal Flag, as well as enjoying the calming effect of painting leaves and rocks, engaging in small imaginative play with native animals and indigenous wooden dolls while listening to the sounds of the bush, and connecting with nature and each other at our Meeting Place where we say our Acknowledgement of Country.
