10.01.2022 In 2016 I went to Borobudur for the first time with Lama Gangchen’s group. One day I was invited to join some volunteers from the Peace Educators’association to visit a local school.We spent a day full of kid’s beaming smiles and joy, painting and creating small clay creatures which reflected the beauty in each heart. Among the others volunteers I met Andrea Varini, an italian guy who lives and works as a barber in Barcelona. The first thing I noticed about Andrea was his big heart, his love and concern for others. I have asked Andrea to tell us, in his own words, a bit about himself and the fund raising for GiriPurno primary school.

06.01.2022 I have recently been asked to talk to primary school children about human-animal interactions and convey its importance in 6 short lessons. I am an applied ethologist by background and I have done research on animal behaviour and welfare. I have been greatly honoured to take on this task, which I see of utmost importance in educating our kids to develop respect for each other, the world around us and, ultimately, as an education to peace.
