11.01.2022 Where to from here? As an Allied health professional, I am still able to operate and as we have a duty of care I must see your needs are meet and if I am unable to meet them refer you to whom can. Your appointments are still in place and you have a choice of telehealth, in person (with the latest guidelines in place) or over the phone, I am working hard to bring as much consistency of care to you, and your family with new systems being put in place in these rapidly changing times so you can stay strong, healthy, calm, relaxed and know you have the knowledge to get through what may or may not come. If you have any questions, please message me. Take care :) Sarah

07.01.2022 In this time of change and uncertainty? My question is: If you are looking after everyone - who is looking after you? So here are some simple tips to help you stay centered and grounded so you can keep going: ... If/when working from home - set healthy boundaries and put structure in place. Take regular breaks and time outs - Take 5-15 minutes every few hours to be away from technology and re-charge. Regular daily exercise - take the family Remember to breathe - Remember the 4-2-6 rule: inhale deeply for 4 seconds, hold for 2 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds. Repeat and feel the calm. Identify what personally nourishes you and make time for these things regularly - do you love sipping a cuppa in your garden? Do you love playing with your pet, or story time with your children? Baking? Music? Art? Be gentle with yourself & support your nervous system - acknowledge that it is okay to have moments where you are not feeling strong. We are all human, and are all affected by this, so please be kind and gentle with yourself and your emotions. Which one do you need most right now? Look after your body and mind with adaptogenic herbs, magnesium and B vitamins, quality sleep, good nutrition, incorporating comedy and gratitude, scheduling in down time, limiting exposure to non-essential media, meditation, and reaching out to a trusted confidant or professional to talk if needed. As the age old saying goes: you can’t pour from an empty cup, if you would like to chat or make a booking, online consults are now available. Let me know. :)

06.01.2022 Here is some interesting information about how outbreaks have been treated previously, you can't beat fresh air and sunlight.

05.01.2022 The evening is settling down, Kids are hopefully quiet. Take a moment for you to rest and relax and be mindful of your needs. Take a foot bath, container of warm to hot water 20 mins. Add some marbles if you have them to massage your feet. Mag flakes, epsom salts, or salt and just sit and breathe for 15 to 20 mins. Do it while watching netflix, but take the time for you. This is now more important then ever as we are moving into uncertain time. :) Enjoy

05.01.2022 Although we are all concerned about Covid-19, we are also coming into flu season. So it is best as soon as you notice any symptom or tickle in the throat it is a great idea to take action before it takes hold. Good old fashioned gargling with salt water, not only can it keep your throat moist, ease a tickle but may speed up your healing time. It can also help to remove the mucus build-up in your respiratory tract and nasal cavity. This reduces the inflammation and relieves ...the pain in the throat. Apart from that, it flushes out the bacteria and virus, which if left unattended can lead to congestion. There are plenty of different salt-water-gargle recipes out there but a saltwater gargle 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in a glass of warm water. If unwell every hour at least during the day. If preventive morning and night. Gargle for thirty seconds and spit out repeat until glass is empty.

29.12.2021 Getting back to basics in the kitchen: the food we eat either makes us Alkaline or Acidic. We want to be alkaline. When you have a more alkaline environment your body is able to function at a more optimal level. For instance, alkalinity can aid in the reduction of inflammation, including the brain, gut, skin, and muscles,When the body becomes too acidic, it leads to inflammation and an increased risk for other diseases and disorders. Here is a nice list of foods you can increase on a daily basis to help create the health you desire. https://rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm
