25.01.2022 Here is a gentle reminder for these trying times. We urge everyone to take care, take time for yourself, go gently, be kind, practice social distancing and remember that we are all feeling the impacts of this virus. We are able to reschedule your bookings or issue credit vouchers that will be valid until the end of 2022. On that note let us leave you with a few lines from our life creed; ... Desiderata, Max Ehrmann: Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. The Kimberley, Australia Ecotourism Australia Kununurra Visitor Centre

19.01.2022 Our head guide Bec Sampi aka #bunglebunglebec is physically isolating out on her country. She's sending us through tips on how to look after yourself so we can share them with all of you during this pandemic. This is the Lowiin Bush and here's how to prepare it in a tea to help with coughs and respiratory symptoms:

19.01.2022 We all need to be diligent and always take care of our First Nations communities in this area.

19.01.2022 Some more glorious photos from Danny Carter A Higher Perspective, this time of our coastal falls!

17.01.2022 We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe! Heres some Friday fodder to remind you the outside world is still beautiful and will be ready and waiting when we get through this crazy time...

16.01.2022 Phwoar, if only we were all here right now! ... or maybe not all because of social distancing... just some... or just us.... just joking! (We don't need the WHOLE island to ourselves.)

14.01.2022 Who is looking forward to the Ord Valley Muster 2020? We certainly are! Check out all of the events here: https://ordvalleymuster.com.au/

13.01.2022 Alright team, here we go! Working out doesnt have to be a chore so weve made it into a little game for you (and us ) 1. Tick the box for each iconic adventure youve completed. 2. Take note/write down the accompanying hiit exercises for each adventure youve been on. This is your workout round! 3. Put on your fave workout music (Rn we are listening to a lot of Dua Lipa, what a queen!) ... 4. If possible start with a jog around the block, backyard, down the driveway, on the spot for 1-3mins to get the blood flowing 5. Round 1! dont forget: 1 round is better than none! Nb. Take 30-90 second rests between rounds if doing multiple 6. When youre finished your rounds go for a short wind down walk or jog or stretch. Be kind to your body!!! Wed love to know what you think, hear where youve been and how hard your workout was! Tag us in your workout before, during or after posts, if this pandemic is teaching us anything its the importance of community and staying connected!

13.01.2022 We are over the moon to see the Kimberley placed #5 in The New York Times top 50 travel destinations for 2020. We were even more stoked that Kingfisher Tours were mentioned in the article! This is a huge wrap for Australian, West Australian and Kimberley tourism amidst the international headlines on the fires. Here is to hoping this assures and further encourages international tourists to come and share in the amazing and varied landscape in Australia!... Check the Kimberley write up here: https://www.nytimes.com/inte//travel/places-to-visit.html Or the full list below... 2020 is already shaping up to be full of big and wonderful things in the North West and its getting us more and more amped for the season ahead!

12.01.2022 Our goals from the Global Eco Tourism conference in Cairns.

12.01.2022 Hi Guys! Sorry we've been off our socials this last week, we've been doing a little planning in consideration of CoVID-19 and the travel industry. We will be winding back slightly, however we are still operating throughout the season!... None of our tours will be cancelled and you are more than welcome to contact us if you have any concerns regarding your bookings or plans for travelling in the Kimberley this year. Our tours will now be limited to small groups only, all of our food on tour will be made in house so we have absolute control over hygiene standards, and we have implemented an impeccable cleaning and sanitization regime for all of our planes and ground vehicles. In the midst of all of this we have also formed an exciting new partnership with Spinifex Brewing Co Our guests will now we able to enjoy refreshing Spinifex Beer on tour with us... yum! These guys are doing such cool stuff, brewing beers using native, sustainable ingredients, supporting local supply chains and creating jobs for young people in the Kimberley! Just the type of company we are all about aligning ourselves with. You can read more on Spinifex and our new partnership here: https://www.spinifexbrewery.com.au//spinifex-announces-par Wishing you all the best, take care and stay active and healthy!

11.01.2022 Wow! How are the colours of the earth in this photo by @sarahduguid33 on her flight with us over Argyle Diamond Mine?! The mine is due for closure later this year and the custodians for the site are currently researching regeneration projects for this area. Theres rumours that the Jaliwang (barramundi) is inspiring some pretty cool rehabilitation project ideas. The Jaliwang is the dreaming story for the diamonds and you can hear all about it when you join us on tour with your @luridgii guide!

11.01.2022 Repost from @a__higher__perspective Original caption: More shots of the Wyndham mudflats with the guys at @kingfishertours along the Kimberley coast line.

10.01.2022 #5 of the things we are most looking forward to... listening to Bec Sampi sing in Cathedral Gorge again! This is not #5 because it's no greater than #1... to be honest we are just so lucky that we have so many natural wonders in The Kimberley, Australia and we had to put them in some kind of order. A quick up date on us: We are still here and working away in the background getting Kingfisher Tours ready for the best 2021 season we could possibly imagine. ... CoVID-19 has sure shaken things up a bit and the lessons we are taking away from it we hope will be mirrored in the products we deliver going forward. One hurdle we are jumping right now is how to deliver single use plastic free still. You've seen it at your local coffee shop right? You can't get a coffee in your keep cup anymore for hygiene reasons. We get it. It's necessary. It's a bummer that for a little while yet we may not all be able to eat olives out of the same bowl. At Kingfisher we are looking at biodegradable packaging solutions for our food because there is no way we are going to compromise on gorgeous picnic lunches or single use plastic! We are curious to hear what lessons you are taking away from this and how it will change your business or at home practices going forward, have you got any great eco friendly company suggestions all of us can check out? 07.01.2022 With thanks to Danny Carter for sharing! Posted @withregram Imagine being camped up here for a week or two?... Situated in one of the most isolated and remote places on Earth, the Kimberley Coastline needs to be seen to believe. This Island just off the mainland is in Admiralty Gulf between Kalumburu and Mitchell Falls. It was a surreal feeling flying this day with the world going into lockdown. It truly made me realize why I chose to live up here in the Kimberley. When things get back to normal I really encourage you to come visit Kimberley Region and book a flight with the guys at Kingfisher Tours in The Kimberley Region, WA See more

05.01.2022 If youre not from northern Australia then you might not know that this time of year is very warm and very humid. We call it the build up as the temperature creeps higher, the humidity rises, building up slowly until the sky finally cracks open and graces us with glorious rain! On that note, back to our tips for surviving the build up... Tip #4: Get yourself on a boat on the water, itll always be the coolest place to be.

05.01.2022 Would you believe this was the north Kimberley coast? Most people associate the north west of Australia with red dirt and rugged ranges but the coast line provides a little palette change from those orange and red cliffs we find further in land. How are those shades of blue?? ... Thanks for capturing so many amazing shots on tour Danny Carter A Higher Perspective
