23.01.2022 This week is National Volunteer Week and I am sure many out there have already thanked a volunteer or shown their appreciation for a volunteer at some point thi...s year. There are so many Australians who give freely of their time to help friends, neighbours and even strangers from small day to day things to big events like the recent fires and even the current COVID19 pandemic. So from us to all the volunteers out there thank you!!! Today however is extra special because today is #WOWDay (wear orange Wednesday) in Support of our SES Volunteers! So today if your wearing Orange please share your photos and use the tags #WOWDay and #ThankyouSES

13.01.2022 Want to join Australia’s largest vocal ensemble?! Make sure you register for Absolutely Everybody with Queensland Music Festival https://www.qmf.org.au/everybod...y Absolutely Everybody is an epic new vocal ensemble, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, radiating from the heart of Brisbane. Choirs and individuals who join Absolutely Everybody will be involved in transformative, memorable experiences every year (that’s right annually!). As the ensemble grows, you will build a performance repertoire, meet new people, share stories and be involved in exciting future QMF project. Share this message with any and everybody who is interested! If you join, we would love to know also, so we can hopefully put you as close to our choir as possible (no promises, but we would adore that).

08.01.2022 May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. You may have noticed we've been promoting a couple of activities lately and these are our longstanding D...FV Prevention Month activities. We have our annual Mother's Day campaign, Spread The Warmth, where we'll be providing brand new robes to women in crisis. Our fundraising is going really well and refuges around Brisbane are eager to receive robes again this year. We still need to raise some more money to reach our goal of providing 200 women with robes for Mother's Day. If you can help, donate any amount here: www.givenow.com.au/spreadthewarmth2020 We are also involved in the annual Candle Lighting Vigil on May 6 to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic and family violence: www.facebook.com/events/2645171159100157/ The Vigil will be livestreamed via the FB Event at 6PM (AEST) on May 6. That's just 5 days away so mark it in your calendar to tune in, light a candle and post a picture on Facebook with hashtags #endDV #lightacandle Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month is a reminder that violence and abuse is not tolerated and that domestic violence services are operating and you can still access support throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. Please get involved in these DFV Prevention Month activities if you can but most importantly, reach out to friends and family in these isolating times and if you or someone you know needs support for domestic violence, call us on 3217 2544.

07.01.2022 To my amazing supporters Unfortunately over the weekend I was involved in a an accident where I fell off a horse, this accident has landed me in hospital with 2 broken bones in my left hand and 2 broken bones in my right knee and and a torn ligament in my right ankle. Unfortunately this means that I will be unable to work for sometime or take on new clients. I am currently trying to arrange alternative solutions for my current clients. I appreciate your patience and understan...ding during this difficult time. I am still able to take phone calls and liaise with clients and families over the phone during normal business hours if needed. I can assure you all that I will not be shutting down the business, this is just another hurdle to overcome. I hope you all look after yourselves and stay safe.
