22.01.2022 Meet Dr Mosharaf Hossain (MBBS, FRACGP, DCH - The University of Sydney, DRANZCOG -Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology). He has worked as a GP in the Canberra region for over 13 years. Dr Hossain has a special interest in Men’s health, Women and children’s health, chronic disease management (including care plans), mental health (including mental health care plans), sexual health and minor procedures. Minor procedures include: Insertion and removal of implanon, Mirena IUD removal, iron infusions, management of ingrown toenails, skin lesion removal and cyro-therapy. He has additional diploma in Gynae/obstetrics and children’s health. Dr Hossain is experienced in travel medicine and vaccination advice. Dr Hossain is also available for work related injury and compensation with same day appointments available.

15.01.2022 Have you met our resident physiotherapist Jim from For Sure physio? Jim is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. He has previously worked in Sydney, Canberra and Canada. He has a strong focus in Women’s Health. Furthermore, lower back pain clients and an active population is what really motivates Jim. After spending 12 months in Canada, Jim has turned his attention to preventative exercises to assist with safe movement whilst carrying an injury. He has extensive qualifications in Pilates; mat work, reformer and equipment. Dry needling is a feature of his work. Jim is available on Fridays and appointments can be made by calling 02 9157 0260.

Alice is an accredited practicing dietitian who aspires to educate and deliver realistic and achievable dietetic/nutrition strategies tailored for you and to equip you with the tools required to improve your health and wellbeing. She also offers the very popular body scanning service which is more accurate than just measuring BMI, and improves your training plan and goals. 06.01.2022 Chronic Disease Management Our nurse at KFMC has a special interest in assisting people with chronic disease to meet their health goals and be the healthiest version of themselves. Chronic disease management plans are funded by the federal government and allow patients access to allied health professionals at a reduced cost. Plans help those living with a chronic disease (or condition) to get individualized, patient-goal centered care. At KFMC we have both a physiotherapist and dietitian available to help meet your goals, as well as other local providers nearby.
