20.01.2022 Busy day down the highway

20.01.2022 Long weekends are made just for long haul recoveries. Apparently....

19.01.2022 So have upgraded the truck to solar. Doing my bit to save the planet. 1.21 gigawatts is lighting up the flux capacitor nicely. If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88mph.......wind will get under the panels and I'll McFly back to the future

19.01.2022 We say we need 25 meters straight of clear flat ground for dropping or picking up 20' shipping containers, and you can see why here! We're pretty long when we're fully stretched out. We then pull the truck and tray up under the container (or push out from under it if dropping), so soft or uneven ground can stop us in our tracks.

18.01.2022 In these Covid times, 4WD'ing and touring is becoming increasingly popular. It's great to see so many West Australians exploring their own backyard. When setting up your rig, it's always good to keep in mind a few things when it comes to planning for the worst. The larger and heavier the vehicle, the more complicated and expensive the recovery can cost when things don't go to plan. Most tow trucks will only have a tow capacity of about 4 tonne. This is generally the limit of ...most passenger vehicle GVMs, so it's generally not an issue. Some larger 4WD's though are creeping up on the 5 tonne range. For this you'll need a Heavy Tow Truck, which may not be readily available everywhere. If you are putting items on the roof, keep in mind how tall you get. Going too tall may mean you are now an oversize load on top of the tow truck or freight truck. If you are on the tall side (close to 3m), it's a good idea to know your height measurement and let the tow truck know before they reach you. This one here in the photo ONLY JUST fit within the limits, phew! Happy exploring WA! #wanderoutyonder

17.01.2022 Its like watching a mechanic trying to wash grease off their hands..... but in reverse. Same amount of effort required

17.01.2022 Christmas day, so you wont normally find many travellers on remote roads with 600km between towns. This family was blessed that they only slid off the road and were caught by the wet ground, burying the van 40cm deep. Could have been a lot, lot worse, and with no-one around to help, the makings of another tragic Christmas story. Thanks to the Bidyadenga police for getting this family safely to Broome on Christmas evening. Please drive smart and safe over the holiday season.... Kimberley District - WA Police Force See more

15.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Oh, and please be safe out on the roads

14.01.2022 If your heading out along the Gibb River Road, take comfort that Nev and the crew are there for you.

13.01.2022 Tis the season. Corugations will find your weakness eventually

12.01.2022 When moving a golf buggy was the only job planned for the day, but finish 700kms away in the end. Its never boring in towing

11.01.2022 Another long haul recovery. This one from the Canning Stock Route..but were able to limp up the Tanami Rd. Stop over camp on the way home for some much needed sleep

11.01.2022 When you forget youre not a tour guide anymore and drive the entire Gibb River Road without turning back. 1000km blacktop run back to Broome it is then...

08.01.2022 Meet Karl, A family man, who started with us a little over 3 months ago. He fits in with the team like a glove and were very glad to have him. He even likes long drives in the countryside... like this one, his first long haul recovery. A two day run out to Silent Grove in the King Leopold Range NP on the Gibb River Road. Welcome to the team Karl!

08.01.2022 WA Day.... Transportable delivery into Cable Beach Caravan Park. Tight spot, lots of overhanging tree and plenty of onlookers. Would have been tricky without two spotters

07.01.2022 Spent the arvo enjoying something different. Broome Speedway doing sound measurements with Bezos two toys

05.01.2022 Mini road train almost Heading home from Halls Creek

05.01.2022 New Shiny stuff. Hard not to feel special when the tie down chains are Gold. We like to think we treat all vehicles with care, but this John Deer got a fresh set of G70 10mm 6000kg chain for the job.

05.01.2022 Broome, like everywhere is pretty quiet with the Rona lurking around, so its not often we have both trucks out. Roadside afternoon smoko with wife is classed as "a date" right?

05.01.2022 We say we need 25 meters straight of clear flat ground for dropping or picking up 20 shipping containers, and you can see why here! Were pretty long when were fully stretched out. 05.01.2022 Decent size car carriers take a while to load and unload. They dont have the best ramp angles, esp when they are already damaged. All stretched out, it took 27 meters to unload this one.

05.01.2022 One of the bigger motor homes we have had to recover to date.

05.01.2022 Day 3, 50hrs in Taking forever to get home
