25.01.2022 KI Racing at this stage will be proceeding. The committee still need to work through COVID issues eg., loss of Sponsorship and patron support.

25.01.2022 It is with a very heavy heart that I post this photo. Rob Gaylard passed away this morning from a heart attack. It was an absolute honour to have known and spent time with this very humble gentleman. He loved coming to King Island to host our race meetings as much as we loved him coming over he really made our day so much fun, always making jokes and putting a smile on our face. Will miss you dearly Rob. RIP

25.01.2022 Worm Watson showed me this at the trials today. How good is a babies laugh. Exactly what us adults need to hear. Enjoy. Lochley Watson

24.01.2022 Don't forget to check out photos captured by Michael Laskey for last weeks KI Beef Day. Images can be purchased by contacting Michael directly. Well done Michael

22.01.2022 Hi all races are going ahead tomorrow only had 29ml of rain which is drying up already. The winning post didn’t hold up to the wind but I managed to drag of the street a couple handy young race goers and long time supporters of our club to help Wayne & Jim do some quick repairs along with a joke or too. Thanks guys. See you all tomorrow for our last race meeting for this season which will be a fantastic one I’m sure. CheersAudrey

We’ll need a working bee Saturday morning to put it back up. I’ll send a text out on a time for all those that can help possibly 8.30am like last time. CheersAudrey

12.01.2022 Thank you to King Island Council Mayor Julie Arnold and General Manager, Greg Alomes for taking the time to chat with me briefly whilst I was on the Island earl...ier this week. Special thanks to Audrey Hamer from the King Island Racing Club Inc. Group for facilitating this catch up. The Island continues to enjoy its world class reputation for its excellence in the production of cheese, lobsters, bottled rain water, kelp and beef. It also has a rich history with shipwrecks, lighthouses and jagged reefs, bountiful with long stretching and sandy beaches and lush green pasture. It really is a spectacular place.

12.01.2022 Honourable Minister Jane Howlett accepted our invitation to attend our AGM along with her senior advisor Laura Eaton, John King and Tony Latham from Office of Racing Integrity, we thank them very much for their support and understanding of why we are so passionate to keep our club alive for season 20/21 for the benefit of our KI community. Thank you also to Tas Racing CEO Paul Eriksson for confirming to help us with extra support to enable us to continue. Once again I would like to thank you all on behalf of our racing fraternity and our KI Community. A special thank you to Matthew Archer for giving up his day to tour us around. Its well worth doing in your spare time to learn more history of our beautiful Island.

10.01.2022 Big shout out to Casey Hyde for riding about 17 horses track work today in about 50km gusting winds. Thanks also to Jemma for clerking for Casey. Well done girls. Thanks

08.01.2022 I am seeking for a person with a good eye for photography for the KI Racing Club for the 5th December. It involves capturing moments of horses pre race, during race and finish line also for the presentations. Michael Laskey is doing the job for us for rest of season but unfortunately due to our club having to change the date he will be off Island. If you are able to help us out of the afternoon please contact me ASAP. If you would like a practice run there are offical trials this Saturday for most of the day. Fingers crossed there is someone willing and able, you will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
